Hope it's true, after Death Stranding 2 this is my most anticipated game looking at the next 6 months and after Ghost of Yōtei in October there isn't much else on the horizon.

11/30 ? but a year only has 12 months...

PS : I'll be savoring this during Xmas time, can't wait to play it, it really looks that it'll be one of "those" games where people expected/thought to be vaporware and/or shit but the end result/final product will surprise them - I fully expect that the good word of mouth will make it sell like hotcakes

Still not 100% sold but I desire to know more. Hopefully it can scratch the same itch as Dragon's Dogma.

Don't know why my mind keeps reading it as Crimson Dessert. :messenger_grinning_sweat:
Anyway the game looks cool and i don't remember a big title releasing this November, although there are release dates pending.

Crimson Desert, Lies of P Overture, Stellar Blade PC, Final Fantasy Tactics Remake, Death Stranding 2. I have my hands full with great games until the end of the year. And I recently bought Chrono Cross Remaster, Lunar Remaster. Now I need Capcom to announce Resident Evil 9 or Megaman Legends Remaster and I will be settled for some time with those and my backlog until something like GTA6 comes out.

That's not the real boxart, is it?
Looks like they took a screenshot of the character model in Blender lol

Are you romanian? That's a romanian site/store,cuz I buy games from there lol Pretty sure they don't know anything and it's just placeholder.

Apparently the game was available to play hands on during SGF.

Playstation Blog Crew member Sid Shuman talks about it on the PS Blog article that just came out:

Crimson Desert is bringing deep, complex melee combat to its epic open world. In combat, players can chain together kicks, grapples, strong slices, leaping attacks, and much more in a deep, layered combat system that feels more like Soul Calibur than Dark Souls. The action is fast and acrobatic, and builds in ferocity when you imbue your strongest melee attacks with powerful elemental magic like ice and thunder. Or shoot a flare to trigger an incoming artillery attack to annihilate hordes of your melee opponents.

More broadly, I spotted some familiar features of the open-world medieval-fantasy genre, like summoning a horse to cover ground more quickly, liberating enemy strongholds, and epic boss battles. The open world is huge, with Pearl Abyss claiming it will take more than two hours to traverse the game's continent on horseback. If you love open-world games and appreciate deep, layered melee combat, this is one to watch.

Hopefully the lock on isn't intentional as the way its described would be annoying as hell.

Other than that looks great.

It works very well in Black Desert Online, there's no lock-on on PC or the console version, and it's a much faster and even more complex combat.

"Souls-like features won't work here. But we'll see, it won't be a problem for me, I'm used to it. XD

May be a bit of a downgrade from the earlier stuff, but can't tell yet.

I noticed this scene from IGN at 0:27 vs the one from ONL 2023 at 2:44. I knew that lighting was way too good looking.

Again, could be wrong about it, but still looks great.

Seems like there is a lock on in this, it just doesnt work as you'd expect. The way Luke describes it in the video you posted it sounds rubbish.

Although I have not played BDO to compare. Still excited to check this out mind, as it looks epic.

With that many enemies on screen, you better not have lock-on, it's like that in Ghost of Tsushima and it's for the better.

The scale of these battles is unparalled. Probably the most ambitious fantasy game ever.

If this game turn out good, it would be the biggest surprise of this generation to me. I have zero expectations from anything and everything that comes from Korea,

Kinda surprised we still don't have a release date yet. Really hoping it doesn't slip, as this is easily my most anticipated game for the rest of the year

Maximillian's impressions have me concerned. Says it feels like an MMO(which is not surprising given they are the devs of Black Desert) even though it isn't. The way the dialogue and quests are. Hope he is just being hyperbolic.

I still want a lock on that work for boss fights tho.

Dude liked the ff7 remakes so personally, him being negative only make me more hyped for the game :lollipop_squinting:

I'm still hyped, but I don't mind being reminded to be a little wary. Overhyping is never good. As long as it's overall in Dragon's Dogma 2's ballpark, I will love it. The setting is my jam.

I mean, we already saw a couple of games from korea so i was not expecting great writing or digital acting even before max todd (or whatever his name is) said that.

This is the opposite of the witcher, you play for the fun gameplay, not for the story\writing.

Happy to be disproved but better be pessimist and be surprised than the opposite.

Yep, that's what I am here for. Dogma's story was...something. But I loved the combat.
