I thought the same so I found the article, and it turns out the pictures with the headline is a bit misleading. The trend isn't kids on TikTok filing their own teeth down to shark teeth, fortunately. Those pictures are from a dentist's office right before they had veneers put in, which itself is bad practice and unnecessary. Apparently though, there are some TikTokers filing their teeth down a bit so they appear straighter, however.

Stuff like this is taking over and replacing what was once the transgender "community"...while the warnings by people who have genuine medically diagnosed gender dysphoria and even those with an intersex condition are being ridiculed and dismissed as hateful 'gatekeeping.'
If I knew 7 years ago that this is what the trans community was going to be, I probably would never have transitioned out of intense embarrassment of association and most likely would not have lived past 2015.
