Cult games you wish were released on the DS.

Now that we have various control issues figured out with the stylus system, here's a list of games I would kill to have ports for the DS. Of course, non of them would get released, since we all wanted those games on the gba, and we never had one. Here's my list:

Snatcher
Out of This World
Flashback
Syndicate
The King/police/space quest games
Sam and Max.
the Goblliins games.
Warcraft 1 + 2
Ancient
A proper port of Eye of the Beholder
Quake 1 with multiplayer
Stunts!
Elite
Heroes Of Might and Magic 2 (it would be very easy to do)

Is Actraiser a cult game? A remake of the original or a new one with elements taken from the original would be great on DS, in my opinion.

You dare call Sam and Max a cult game? For shame!

Seriously though, a bunch of point and click adventures would be a great addition to the software library. They'd have to have serious replay value - Sam and Max would certainly qualify.

"So why do we call it Car Bomb?"
"So we don't get the pants sued off us!"

Starcraft with online play. That would take the cake.

Also Romance of the Three Kingdoms Online would be wonderful as well. Heck even LAN play would be cool, but fully functional online would be off the hindges.

I'm surprised there haven't been any Point-and-click adventure or RTS games announced for the DS yet, considering they would use the touch screen a whole lot better than a lot of other genres [like Platformers].

C'mon, wheres our Warcraft, Starcraft, Z, Sam n Max, Monkey Island, Krush Kill N Destroy darn sarnit!

Dungeon Master, now you can also draw the rune spells!! That was only half serious, but who knows, it might actually be good.

I dunno if it's "cult" but I'd like to see games like Wheel of Fortune DS and Monopoly DS. And I'd like to see a card game compilation like Poker and Black Jack and Crazy 8s. Stuff like that. Stuff that you can play for a long time.

I just had a blast playing Mario 64's mini games for a couple of hours the past two days, and I really dig touch control.

Uniracers would obviously rule above just about everything else.

That game is flawless. It hasn't dated a day.

Actraiser could be awesome too, given that half the game is a Sim City clone.

Okay, so they're not all "cult" games. But some of the ones I think would be a lot of fun on the DS:

Grim Fandango
NiGHTS
Panzer Dragoon Saga
Guardian Heroes
Super Mario RPG
Jet Grind Radio
Power Stone

I'd buy just about anything listed in this thread, actually, though I dont' really need that many PC-Style adventures that I've played before. I'd probably only buy my absolute faves of the genre (e.g. Sam & Max, Gabriel Knight, Day of the Tentacle, King's Quest).

I wonder if DS could handle a port of Kings Quest VIII. I never finished that one because I was in between good computers.

I'd want Road Rash with online play. (yeah I know, not really cult but still)

Star Wars: Shadow of the Empire with a better save system!

Daggerfall!! Man this game would be so kickass on the DS, the swinging system could rock with the stylus and lots Morrowind fans could finally get a taste of it's prequel.

Battle of Olympus, I just want this game back period, on any platform!

Equinox, I just want this game back period, on any platform! (Deju Vu like a mfer)

Super Ninja Boy!! I KNOW they could do something cool with those two little guys on DS.

Damn, a Daggerfall like RPG (with stylus swinging/casting mechanics) would be the fucking shit, man.

Fucking Punch-Out. Do it now Nintendo, NOW.

I remember them saying that they're evaluating releasing a new Punch-Out....fuck evaluating, make a new one for the DS! NOW NOW NOW!

Battleship
Warfare Incorporated (a cool PDA RTS)
More RTSes
Have you played the full version? I've only played the demo, bught it was pretty fun with that. Curious to know how the full games is in length, quality, etc.

I only want Fire Emblem III through VI, or even just one of them. I would die a happy man. But NOA would rather have us suffer, I'm sure.

Magic Pengel - The Quest for Color

The damn system was made for this game, if something like this doesn't come out for the DS i will be very disappointed. >:(

This has already been discussed before, and I'm sure you'll be happy to learn that a new game in that series has already been announced for the DS
