Played 4 hours so far.
Character creator was surprisingly good. Presets are nice looking.
Game looks fantastic at my high end gaming PC, Art direction is great, soundtrack is explosive and so cool.
Gameplay wise i have not seen much yet but i can see its fun.
Very immersive game.
Encountered 2 glitches 1 at Lizzie bar, 1 at character creation. (T pose NPC, also presented on reddit rgaming) (CC bug where my mouse goes up, solved on its own after few seconds)
Performance is good but thats thanks to my super gaming pc.

So far im getting hooked, i will go back and enjoy the ride, Night City looks promising.
As for consoles i think base old gen is going to have bad performance, glad i bought a new PC.

Had two enemies spawn inside a wall on a mission today. I couldn't shoot them, scan them, or even see them. I could hear them and they could shoot me just fine.

Think I might shelve the game until they get a few patches out, the bugs are ruining the experience for me.

That would be why, Lizzie's bar is only like the 3/4th main quest.

Yeah I’m really into this being an immersive experience no need to rush through and “beat” the game I’m exploring this giant world at my own pace.

this game without DLSS and raytracing on is like unplayable. It is absolutely amazing about the power of DLSS though, the fact they got the game to run as well as it does. DLSS by far to me needs to be in the next switch console. It will be an absolute game changer and would greatly benefit that console.

Played for about 2.5 hours last night, and I'm enjoying it so far. Went the Nomad path, and I'm starting to really warm up to Jackie, especially when he was smooth talking the cop lady so we could get into Watson. Game looks absolutely amazing on High settings with DLSS and Ray Tracing (2060 super). Looking forward to playing more today and hopefully getting to the open portions where I can kind of just fart around and explore.

I don’t think so because it’s technically a PS4 game running in BC. I will say using the PS5’s SSD makes loading times impressively short though.

Yup there are unique elements and events that you will miss out if you don't explore. An example some of the crimes that pop up, if you clear the crime there is very good loot to be had. Last night I walked into an open bar area and saw a hacking terminal. Didn't know it was a gang territory because after I hacked the terminal I was being chased. I booked it

There are a couple.

I found that Screenspace reflection quality and ambient occlusion quality have the highest effect on performance of the rasterization settings.

I would also recommend using Nvidia's sharpening feature if you're using either DLSS or FidelityFX to get a nice sharp image even when upscaling.

I was listening to Layman Gaming and Skill up talking together about their experiences and they get into the side quests some. Layman mainlined the main storyline firstly before tackling quests and was a bit underwhelmed by his ending options, whereas Skill up did a bunch of side quests and had a lot more options apparently, so it definitely pays to take you tome and do those sidequests as is a cohesive unified whole. They do ramble on about issues with the embargo etc for a while but they get into the juice of the ending/side quests around the 12 minute mark

There’s skill checks for all the different attributes in conversation.

Sometimes you can use cool, sometimes body. I’m trying to keep mine balanced, because I’ve always been a fan of persuasion and talking my way out of shit in RPGs.

I’m almost done the heist at the beginning and had one bug where I couldn’t choose different dialogue options so I had to reload the checkpoint (which was right there.)

As I understand it, you get these automatically from attributes:
Body: Intimidation
Intelligence: Logical arguments
Cool: Persuasion
Anyone can confirm this?
Since it's action rpg at it's core, they probably didn't want to add a more redundant Charisma stat.

Had a skim through the whole thing ignoring spoiler and story sensitive text, seems to be incredibly thorough and shows a flowchart of branching story paths, side missions and the different endings on offer and how to get to them. Full details of every main mission, side mission, gig, hustle etc in the game with map markers and recommendations of when to do them. It seems great from what I've read so far, I imagine it will DEFINITELY help with 100%.

Just had my first crash on the Pro. I was going through the menu pretty quick and I’m sure that did it. Don’t give a fuck. Been saving often and the auto save system itself is pretty damn great.

For those further along than me, would you say the open world is utilized to it's fullest? By that I mean, are enemies intelligent enough to pursue you through it and does the level design make for exciting action? I hear a lot about the verticality, but how does it effect the gameplay?

From my impression (and they stated this at the start of the guide), any time there's spoiler sensitive content in the narrative it will have a red disclaimer beforehand warning you not to read on until you've done certain things.
