On one hand I hope it's real and want to believe, on the other this could easily be made by an above average film student with a DJ friend. Also seems odd that they would use the exact same logo as 2007, but hey man, I'm crossing fingers anyway!

Come on OP, I wanna believe too but it's clearly fake. Given their merch push I'm inclined to believe their announcement won't be as nearly as obtuse with a rehash of the 2007 emblem no less. The gleam is a nice touch though, lil nod to RAM.

Where is this coming from?

It's an unremarkable random youtube channel with this video as its only one uploaded.

This looks so fake. Why in holy hell would Daft Punk tease something so overtly and yet on a dark channel AND use old graphics for a brand new thing? The biggest tell on all of these fakes is that they focus on old imagery when Daft Punk constantly changes their look.

Fuck ya'll, I'm not getting my hopes up.
This is just too cruel.

Edit: damn fake video got me hyped for no reason still lol.

If anything, I feel like they'd market a potential Alive 2017 the same way they did promo for RAM.

A teaser during SNL, a billboard up somewhere, building hype the analog way.

yeah, these assholes have hype down to a science.

whatever it is gonna be, it's not gonna be a simple "hi we are daft punk and here are our tour dates for 2017"

expect some infuriating teasing

Yeah, the sound too. It's sounds like daft punk 10 years ago, not RAM-era. They have said in interviews they never want to do the same thing twice and that if they were to tour, they would have to figure a interesting way to use live musicians.

EDIT: Also, that transition to the daft punk logo in the end is fucking sloppy and amateur. Compare that to the shiney logo spinning in Get Lucky teaser.

Im a fan of Daft Punk since Homework. Their Alive sets are the closest sounds to Homework so I hope hope hope is true!!!

their sound has been pretty boring as of late. I can only imagine a new version of Alive with RAM and their other collabs with the weeknd will be very underwhelming compared to their prior set.

RAM is probably my favorite album of all time. I would love to see them live, but Düsseldorf is too far away.

I know for a fact Alive 2017 is coming, even if this particular video might be a fake. They have been putting out tons of music lately, and I wouldn't be surprised if we got a new album before Summer.

It'll be a mashup of all of their albums thus far, with emphasis on Tron/RAM. They aren't going to forget to play HHA/D/H just because they are older, just like they didn't forget to play H/Phoenix at 2007.

If you miss out on this concert due to some preconceived notion that their recent sound is too boring for you, you'll regret it for the rest of your life. These are the gods we're talking about. They invented this shit. I know people who left the festival before 2007 due to a tummy ache who's lives are forever empty now.

There are fake Daft Punk new alive tour pages and videos popping up every months on Facebook. So I'll take this with a grain of salt.

Also no Belgium dates? Fuck that.

The closest I've been to seeing them live is through a local band called Yoko Zuna who've played a couple gigs of Daft Punk covers. They're all tight musicians and both times the vibe was awesome. Can't imagine how dope it'd be to see them in a big venue with a fat crowd.
