Damn it all, Geist is fun.

I'm at the shower scene now, and so far this game has been a blast, I have possesed some totally random crap and the puzzle element is fantastic.

Also, the multiplayer is fun as heck posession deathmatch baby.

Anyone actually buy this today?

:lol

the funny thing is I almost made a thread asking if woebebadgames bought this. directly.

but I'm glad you're enjoying it. This seems like a wonderful $20 game.

I played the game at my local EB possesing ramdon shit is funny specially the reactions of the NPCs, anyway the game did felt a little off, aiming with the C-stick didn't felt right it was a little unresponsive. loved the cutscenes I saw, seems the story is pretty interesting I'm with Mejilan on this one I'll get it at 20 dollars

Trade-in's are wonderful things, and I've been interested since day one.

It's full of nice little touches, like when you posses someone, you actually check yourself out like you really entered the body and you are making sure it all moves right.

Plaus any game where you can be dog food, c'mon.

I dunno why this game reviewed so poorly. It's by no means GREAT...but I was surprised at the reaction from the gaming media. I'm not saying they're off-base in their criticisms, but there's a lot of good stuff in it as well that I thought would boost the scores a bit higher than C/C-.

Is it worth $49? Nah. $29..ya, sure.

Even better...go rent it and beat it in 2 weeks w/that "no late fee" crap from BB.

I got the game today for $40 at TRU after using my coupon. So far so good. The first little chapter was kinda lame, but it really picked up once you could possess things.

Looks like someone only owns one console!

I lost interest and almost fell asleep during the opening cutscene when trying it out at an EB. There's no way a game can recover from that...

I'd say it can.

I can't stress enough how shocked I am to hear you say this.

it seems to me that some of the reviews would have been higher if the developer was not n-space.. same game, different developer.. and possibly not being published by nintendo.. for instance.. metal arms is not that great of a game, its okay, can be fun at times.. but definitely not great.. yet it received plenty of good reviews. . so far, i'd say they are about equal.

Do you work for nSpace?

Wobe, you already had your mind made up about this game before you ever bought it.

Will make you do funny things...

Do you guys actually think it'll drop in price that fast? I still see WaveRace:BS and 1080:Avalanche for $50 new. I just don't see stingy old Nintendo willing to take a hit on this.

I saw a commercial for this just now.

Fucking retarded.

Must be aimed at Zeo.

Dunno, since I'm not planing on buying the game until the price drops a bit, I kind of doubt it.

Oh but wait, I have to go buy it now, I'm a Nintendo fanboy. ):

My favorite is how people who haven't played the game give people who actually like the game a hard time. There wasn't this much of a reaction to Coded Arms - and that game didn't even get any good reviews at all. Over 70k people bought that game too. And when the "I like Death Jr." threads pop up - there won't be anywhere near this kind of reaction. You guys take your trolling bits too far sometimes. Can't you just get all your Geist hate out in the EGM or GAF review threads?

well I don't know if what I played was the begining or not but there was some cool shit going in the game.

GC sits right next to my dreamcast and ps2, but yeah great logic.

If this was a different dev and publisher, it wouldn't be scrutinized as bad.

It's enjoyable, screw the haters.

I imagine it means the scripted events are much dumber than the map-covering bots. their hemmed in as it were by plot events, etc.

still loving the game, woe?

Different dev? If it were a more capable dev, people would be hitting it harder than they are now. N-Space does have a lot of potential but it has yet to be realized. Geist serves to show this potential. The game is enjoyable, but could have been built upon. People were expecting more, especially considering how long it has been in development.

Really? I thought most people were expecting LESS, actually. Certainly been getting better reviews than what I was expecting.
