Dan Houser and the founders of R* are visionary and talented, we all know. It's likely Dan became sick of the culture at R*, the studio now becoming a multi-billion dollar mega corporation that wants to stick to the formula and avoid risky investments in creative ventures and other such things.

This new venture seems like Dan is working on and creating ideas he'd never get the chance to under the likes of Zelnick and co.
