To be honest, what segment could you have follow Daniel Bryan retiring in Seattle?

Not doing the retirement announcement at the beginning of the show could backfire as well. Everyone knows that it is happening, so the crowd would be demanding Bryan all night long.

Basically damned if you do, damned if you don't.

You know if this had been said on friggin' TV I doubt there would have been the same level of outcry for Bryan to win the Rumble last year :P
I loved how they protected the "B+" narrative and never broke kayfabe on it. The only problem with it was not delivering on the payoffs other than the last minute change to the WM30 main event.

If you straight up tell them at the start Bryan will be main eventing, then they'll know.

Oh man, gutting... That lead up to Wrestlemania was something real special.

I remember the night where former champions were all in the ring (source of the infamous Punk laughing GIF) and the crowd just wouldn't stop chanting Daniel Bryan and Yes while Triple H was talking. I don't think I've seen fans connect with a guy like they did for Bryan since Austin/Rock.

Going to be sad tonight.

They should put the Bryan segment on last and completely suspend kayfabe for it. Get everyone out for him. Would be an incredible moment.

Too premature for a Hall of Fame announcement tonight? I mean, I don't know why'd they would wait if he's truly done for good.

"I'm officially retiring from the rehabilitation and the performance center, and will be entering myself into next year's Royal Rumble match! Yes! Yes! Yes!"

It's going to set up Bryan vs Brock for the title at next year's WM. Announcements of events that will happen in 1 year are always money.

don't wake me, i'm still having a great dream

Triple H- One of my favorite @WrestleMania moments ever.
Always have been and always will be an A+. #ThankYouDanielBryan

Fuck.

:'(
Aww. You know, I get conflicted with my feelings in regards to HHH, one of of the very best but also an asshole... But damn, I'm really sad now. Very classy.

Remember the amazing Mark Henry "retirement" where he turned heel and destroyed Cena? I really wish this with Daniel Bryan was a swerve like that, but I know it isn't (really, I do). I hate when any of these guys have to end their career like this. Ugh.

It's not a storyline. They are trying to remove doubt about DB showing up at MW and put the attention on Roman so fans will cheer for him. This is all about making Roman look strong.

Daniel Bryan got one of the best payoffs you can ask for in this business. Great Mania moment that won't be topped anytime soon. At the very least he got that moment.

The Temple is waiting with open arms, Danielo Bryano

Tonight D Brine is giving his retirement speech. Midway through this heartfelt, emotional speech, this begins to play on the titantron.

Muhammad Hassan, now a member of ISIS, attacks our beloved hero, which leads to a match at WrestleMania. Bryan's retirement match, where our valiant hero wins.

Book it.
