she's riding this train a lot farther than I thought possible

will be interesting to see what her life is like 5 years from now

If I was one of the millions of artists and musicians out there busting my ass, I'd be fucking pissed.
I've dwelled among the humans. Their entire culture is built around their memes. It's funny to say they are new, it's funny to say they are old. I've been at parties where humans have held bottles, pencils and thermoses in front of themselves and called out, 'Hey, look at meme! I'm Mr. So-And-So Meme! I've got such-and-such for a meme!' I never saw it fail to get a laugh.

Damn, she came up fast. The whole Catch Me Outside thing was less than a year ago, right? She has enough followers on Instagram to make a living like most of those vine star kids, hocking products and merch. But she's actually getting more traction than I expected.

It's okay, you're among your own kind now.

What's a 360 deal?

means label gets a piece of EVERYTHING the artist does.

before artists be able to do side ventures and got all the money from their concerts/merch, etc and label just got money from the album/record sales.

now, anything the artist does, the label gets a piece of it. thus 360, it covers everything around the artist.

Why? Atlantic Records is going to promote her music regardless; in fact with a TLC deal, where they'll be making more of a profit, if her music pops off, they'll be incentivized to promote her music even more. I get that you hate some easily ignorable 14 year old but the way in which you're wishing her to fail is counter-productive

You were in the other thread about her single saying the same thing, why are people wanting her to fail, you all really hate her etc. Are people not allowed to criticize her mediocrity be rewarded? Why do you keep highlighting her being 14 as meaning she is free from being criticized? If she wants to be in the public eye rapping about 'these hoes' she is free for criticism. People don't like it because she represents everything wrong with modern fame and celebrity. Especially because it again is an example of sheer white mediocrity be rewarded in America. This is a girl famous for LITERALLY threatening to fight people who didn't like her being a culture vulture or insulting her mom on national television.
