I know some clowns are gonna try and be funny but this is strictly about turkey. Dark is best imo. Tastes better and more tender.

The only difference between 'white' and 'dark' meat is the amount of use the muscle gets, regardless of animal. A pork tenderloin and the picnic ham will be vastly different in terms of cooking methods and texture. High work muscles contain more compounds that give the meat its flavor, which is why a ribeye is more flavorful than a fillet, even though the fillet is generally more expensive.

I prefer dark but I also savor it. Most of the turkey and chicken I eat is white meat for practical reasons.

I've never eaten dark turkey meat. How does it taste like?

Or you mean like the "under meat" that has a slight darker color? I prefer the breast area.
 
Mainly dark but chicken and turkey is common. The kids prefer turkey meat over chicken.

We also eat quite a lot of rabbit meat as it has less chemicals pumped into it. As well as wild deer and pigs, a good friend from work hunts often so we will usually buy some meats from him. There are places here you can take a deer or pig and for a percentage of the meat they will test, skin and clean it for you and even make sausages/patties or cuts out of it ready to be frozen

White is perfect when refrigerated for a night and served cold on a sandwich.

Dark is great on thanksgiving and/or the next day reheated.

People who say this have only eaten frozen butter ball shit with a built in plastic thermometer.

I brined this fucker for 24 hours, rubbed a whole god damn stick of butter on it, dry rubbed with salt and spices, put sliced apple in its ass and throat and then and cooked on low for 4.5 hours...delicious.
