Could there a possibility of making this open source. I'm not as experienced as you but wouldn't mind playing around in it either, you never know!
Believe he said he'd release the code once he tidied it up, as it was fairly messy.

I've a 16:10 too, but I think the disappearing messages is the biggest problem. Not game-breaking by any means though.
I got a Gargoyle Helm from beating the Gargoyles? Never seen that drop before.
This is what we're calling him from here on out.
Not sure if this has been said yet, but I noticed that if you go to a wall and get the camera right close to the character, it brings the blurry mess back again? Anyone noticed this?

I found it bro, i totally forgot about this simple thing:
Change your Format and Location to English(UK) and United Kingdom!
I now have DS running in English AND high resolution!
Cheers again for the fix man!
PS. 'schland?

WOW CAN SOMONE PLEASE COME TO MY RESCUE!!!!
System Specs, i7 2600k, XfX 7970, 16gb, Samsung S27A750,....... DS Y U NO 1080p?!
Cant select 1080p in FULL SCREEN........ WHY??? i keep seeing people mentioning scrolling down in the video options? am i in the wrong menu or something!! AHHH this is driving me CRAZY never played DS before..... dont even care about render Res now, i Just want my 1080p UPSAMPLED EVEN!!!!!!! See Screens....
:cries: PLEASE HELP GAF!!!
DoF. Will be fixed in the next version.
So running 3840*2160 downscaled to 1080p halves my fps (to 15).
It's not even utilizing the gpu much.
I've tried bumping up all the settings in CCC but no dice.
Anyone know what i could try next? Gonna update drivers.
Running it on my clevo laptop (i7 620m, 5870m).
its ruins my frames on a 6950 aswell, so maybe its an ATI related problem?
The latter.JoeFenix said:Are you trying to remove the DoF or have it render to a higher res buffer?
Yea i saw your post earlier, which is ridiculous.
I wonder if one should use radeon pro, but i dunno which would be the optimal settings.
Will have a go after driver update.
Framerate issues definitely sounds AMD related. I can put in whatever resolution I want and be at 30 on the dot, it won't budge whatsoever.
The DoF fix may take longer than I thought. Trying a straightforward fix produces ghosting of distant stuff and artifacts.
The latter.
I prefer the Claymore to the Zweihander, better R2 attack. It'll be fun seeing the comments from all the people who haven't played it. Here's my tip: Making a mad dash for the Zweihander the moment you get to Firelink Shrine is the only way to play Dark Souls. Those skeletons can eat my dust!
Take your time. And please, PLEASE, don't waste your time on the framerate. The game is perfectly fine in 30 fps and is really smooth enough and even more responsive than PS3 version.
what does your cpu-usage look like?

I have some suspicions, but it could be a lot of things. I'll have to check them one after the other, so it could be a lengthy process.
Thanks!

Still didn't manage to change the language to english. Any further hints would be appreciated.
Anything on the black bars Durante, anything you can fix or is that a different issue?
I could probably fix it, but it'sAnything on the black bars Durante, anything you can fix or is that a different issue?
Yes, looks like it.Holy shit, already? What was the problem, if I may ask? And does this fix the button prompts in menus too? (not really too important, but worth asking)
Those are my laptop specs too, how is it running without the downscaling? I have the PS3 version but no point buying the PC one if its the same performance.
I could probably fix it, but it's
1) Hard (or make that "laborious")
2) Low priority (I don't consider letterboxing to be so bad)
3) Even harder to do without stretching the GUI
Amazingly. I can downscale with 2560*1440 perfectly fine but anything over that flat out halves framerate. It really looks like there's foul play from v-sync.
I wonder if d3doverrider is activating for me?
Still gonna fiddle around with RadeonPro once my drivers are installed.
It's not so surprising really. It's doing the same things, framebuffer resolution scales more or less linearly with GPU power, and modern GPUs are 12+ times more powerful than those in the consoles. It's amazing that this game wasn't even 720p on consoles and couldn't maintain 30fps, yet plenty us are playing at insane resolutions 3800x2100 (there abouts) or higher, locked at 30fps. It really is time for new consoles.
I dumped d3doverrider since using RadeonPro, you can find tripple buffering under the tweaks tab.
