I really liked Ju-On and The Ring, but Dark Water (the original here) was really boring. I bought it without having seen it, and it kind of sits in my collection like a red headed stepchild of my DVD's. So this is an American remake of a boring Japanese horror flick, right?

Heh, I thought Juon sucked big time (both the original and the Japanese remake, won't pay to see the American version), but I liked Dark Water, although it was a slow moving movie. I was surprised by how good the non-horror part of it was executed.

I don't know, I'm pretty hopeful with this one. I really enjoyed the Japanese one, but there are done then I think this could be excellent.

And really, at worst we probably get a wet Jennifer Connelly, and that ain't bad.
