Days Gone Remastered adds compatibility for Power Saver mode on a new update

Anyone has this version to test how it's running?

It's pretty funny to think about the fact that we're getting these modes post launch several years later but not a 60fps patch for Bloodborne

Must still be seeing good numbers to keep getting these updates.
Or rather, Bend doesn't have that much going on at this moment to keep all of Bend busy -- hence why them, who had a project cancelled within the last year (same as Bluepoint, who also dropped Power Saver support for Demon's Souls), have the time to focus on these sort of things, just like they had the time to do an enhanced backwards compatibility Days Gone patch for the PS5 launch or the PC port fully in-house while they struggled to get any projects off the ground back in 2020/early 2021.

It is no coincidence that Kojima Productions and Sucker Punch, that have just wrapped up AAA projects, also have the free time to have their latest titles join the Power Saver club.

Does anyone actually care about a "power save" mode? Seriously, who is this for?
Do we have to repeat every single time that we care because that means that these games will be BC on the upcoming PS6 Portable?
FFS, no one wants to play them like that right now, we just want to see how these turn out to be playable on the future handheld device releasing in two years.

Still not feeling too good about this handheld idea.
I mean...at least it's not a hybrid so you can choose between paying for it or not. The idea is to have one extra entry point to Sony's ecosystem.

I have to be honest, a portable that can read every game on PS store (PS4, PS5, older titles and probably PS6 with downgrades) sounds like an amazing thign to have, depending on the price.

You'd be right. That handheld is going to hold back present and future Playstation exclusives for a decade. Devs dream of leaving behind baked lighting and moving to fully raytraced games, well, that's not going to happen when they've got to support low powered handhelds that are a generation behind power wise. Next gen games will remain a pipedream, we'll be stuck in crossgen limbo for eternity.

fantastic update, it's what we've all been waiting for

smh those bend fucks could've released a sequel by now, but they're still too busy cancelling bad ideas that didn't pan out :x
