Looks better than any of the maps out now, wonder if they will redo some of them. Would like to see some original maps though.
 
It looks like real life, only more realistic.
Are these official? They don't look as good artistically as other stuff I've seen.
 
Good GOD do I need a new PC. My CS addiction, which I thought I had kicked, is really getting to me ever since Source released. Last time I played seriously was 1.6, when STEAM first came out. Have they re-made Inferno yet?

I don't know if it was official one or not, but the Source Italy I played looked pretty shitty.
 
The fact that those mine cart tracks look like a second texture layer added with no geometry bothers me, but otherwise, pretty decent :) I'm not familiar with this game, though, what's it about?

This is Counter Strike, where speed is more important than extraneous geometry for the sake of geometry. CS Soruce runs much faster than Half-Life 2, even though they have the same engine. All for multiplayer playability.

seriously. aside from office and a few others, the remade maps look pretty terrible.. i'm sure they were rushed.

My friend's rig could do that, only if it wasn't hooked up to his 46" DLP. It runs constant 60FPS running Source CS though.

Most I don't think are "official".
 
They are working on maps made specifically for CSS, all we have so far are ports. You can't really do much considering the source material, no pun intended.

The new map(s) were scheduled for "december", and they are keeping dates close to their chests, I would say brand new map(s) in january and de_prodigy in a week.
 
Wow, I'm impressed. Too bad the cliffside location and nighttime were axed though. Now bring back cs_docks! (and keep it at night)

It looks very good. I'm not sure if I like the part where you start off as a terrorist and head down the ramp. It used to be that there was a good camping spot at the end of the ramp and there was no chain link fence to keep you in the level. It used to be a little tricky jumping on the rail and sneaking past the crates where the cement bags are now.

Does anyone have a list of CS:S maps? CS_Assault (as CT) and CS_Office (as CT) are probably my most favorite CS maps.
 
Looks great.

The current set of CSS maps could surely benefit from a slight facelift as well, I feel they could've had a little more detail in them.
 
Prodigy was one of the first CS maps I played on. Still pretty fun, too.

I love how they COMPLETELY changed the map's setting and overall tone, though. Nice.
