Deep in Horde Territory (WoW, Duh)

After killing off 7 players in Origrimmar without getting killed, I started to get bored. I always wanted to know how the hell you get on that auction house platform but couldn't figure out how. A horde friend told me it was possible.... but didn't know how to do it. So i waited and waited, hoped maybe a lvl 60 flagged for pvp would come by to provide some fun... but it didn't happen. BUT two horde came in and proceeded to show me exactly how you get up there. So I did

Unfortunately by some fluke, one of the hunters that had shown me how to get up there by chance, was firing off flares just for fucks sake..... which happened to unstealth me. Which didn't give me any time to do anything else once i got up there. Oh well....another time.

pretty cool story though...if you were the MAF of old, it would have been 10x as long and more entertaining to non-WoW players :b

Ferrio, how's your character progressing? also, how are you liking the quests/story?

Character... progressing? She's been 60 for who knows how long.... just plods around goes into raids and hopes a Dal Rend Sacred Charge drops... other than that.... eh. For quests all I got are the end game quests, but I rarely complete any of those. Also I didn't take many screenshots cause... well there isn't much time when you're trying to kill a lvl 60 mage with 25 horde surrounding you.

That's pretty cool. It would be absolutely hilarious if you could actually kill one of the AH sellers. I know in IF the AH addicts would go ballistic. :lol

Sounds like you're kind of bored at 60. :\ That's not promising news imo. I'm at lvl 44 and slowly progressing, but it doesn't sound like I have much to look forward to at 60 besides finding an epic set and a few end quests.

Where are all these 'monthly content updates' Blizzard promised?

While waiting for new content, how about going through the OTHER 50% of the content in the game? You know, there are two sides to this game.

Maybe because it's virtually the same type of quests with Horde characters/territories instead of Alliance characters/territories?

Yeah, each area has the same types of quests.
The only advantage to playing the other side would be a change of scenery.

Blizzard needs to hire some additional content creators. It seems most of the time from their main staff seems devoted to getting the game working as its susposed to. (IE, the recent patch to help problems in crowded areas, or getting servers working more smoothly).
Howver, the game has been out for more then a few months now, I would have expected at least some extra content by now.

They need to watch themselves, cause as more people reach 60, and find themselves with nothing to do, thats going to mean more canceled accounts and less money for them.

Would it really hurt to have one entire team devoted to making new content for the game? They have tons of money coming in from probably over 500,000 accounts. Do the math, 500,000 X 13.99 = 6,995,000 a month (13.99 used as an average beacuse some people i'm sure have prepaid for 6 or 3 months and got the lower rate). This is certainly more then they would ever need for servers. Blizzard is sitting on a goldmine here (pun intended). But, anybody who played warcraft knows that gold mines run out, and unless they go out looking for another one (Create more content). They will be stuck.

</Rant>

Blizzard needs content and they need it soon. Who knows wtf their team(s) are doing, but they need to get the ball rolling. I love the game but am on the verge of leaving it for EQ2 fulltime.

The only thing that still has got me here is the restedxp bonus and RL friends and family.

*snooooore* Please, if I wanted to do newbie quests again or go around without a mount, I'd have done that long ago. Give us new content Blizzard -- it's getting ridiculous especially when you compare how much extra stuff has been added to EQ2 since launch.

What´s the next content announced? Battlegrounds?

I´m in level 11, so I suppose when I´m 60 there will be a WoW2 already ;)

If you are still gaining xp wtf do you need more content. There is a ton of content 1-59. Hell there is a ton of content at 60 but the problem is that it's buggy. If they fixed the molten core raid bug then there would be plenty of content even for the hardcore raider. I've been 60 for a while now and I still play 4 nights a week on a pve server. I do stralhome, scholomance, and UBRS at least once a week and I still haven't finished all my quest there. I agree if you are in one of the top guilds on your server and have beat onyxia and have cleared most of molten core and your guild is decked out in epic armor sets than you need some new content that will hopefully come soon but if you aren't even 60 yet I don't see how you can complain about the lack of content when thier is a shitload.

I think Blizzard's problem is that they didn't expect the game to sell as well as they did. I read that they sold more in the first week than they projected to sell for the first year. They also didn't expect to have to do as much support as they have been (given the number of players, server overloads, complaints filed, etc).

One could say that they should have known better, but they seem to be a victim of their own success. They simply need more help and to hire more people, but that doesn't happen overnight. The problem is that people playing the game aren't willing to wait.

So ala George Bush could we call Blizzard's World of Warcraft a Catastrophic Success? I mean I guess it is good for them that I can't find the game.

Great Truth™. Granted, that's alot better than other MMO's who shoot for the heavens and land far short of anything even approaching success.

I'm in the same boat as hiryu, but I also have alts to occupy time. I like it... I don't particularly care that I'm doing the same quests I did before because I'm playing different classes so I get different gameplay. I can see why other people wouldn't be down with that, and honestly there IS a lack of stuff to do at level 60 even though I haven't even completed a lot of the quests in the three level 60 instances. I'm still working on my rare warlock set on my level 60 warlock... otherwise I'm just playing shaman and priest and hunter for the hell of it (well, ok, shaman is going to be my battleground char).

It's true that there's a lack of things beyond onyxia and molten core, but I also honestly believe Blizzard really did outdo their expectations for sales. It doesn't make the bugs any less frustrating, but it's pretty obvious that the fast pacing of this game and the anticipation people had because it was from Blizzard make endgame issues aggravating because they have a ton of folks who can (or want to) do endgame instances with a lot of bugs (or just lack of stuff) that have to be worked on, too.

I do think that they're taking the wrong approach with updates, though. This is like blizzard's other games - patching "when it's ready" instead of giving us mini-updates of stuff. Little bug fixes and all that would be much better than cramming it all into one patch with new content...
