We are proud to present one of the first titles for Ghost Ship Publishing: Deep Rock Galactic: Survivor

Deep Rock Galactic: Survivor is a single player survivor-like auto-shooter. Wield the full arsenal of Deep Rock Galactic, take on hordes of lethal aliens, mine riches, and unlock powerful upgrades.

It's one dwarf against all of Planet Hoxxes!

This is our first spin-off on Deep Rock Galactic (if you do not count the board game) and we are super excited to get this into the hands of both Deep Rock fans and newcomers. The developer is Funday Games, a well-established indie studio from Aarhus, Denmark. We have known the Funday crew for more than a decade and we have absolut trust in their skills and passion. The collaboration with Funday has already been underway for some months now and we can't wait to get our community involved as well. So stay tuned for more info!

Deep Rock Galactic: Survivor is expected to release towards the end of 2023.

Not shocked something cool gets announced on their 5th Anniversary.

This is Karl's game pretty much. Wield everything and kill everything. You now can live the legend that is Karl.

Looks like a pretty easy transition from the gameplay of DRG. EA so not bothering until release, but at least it looks like their EA process will be much tighter than it was for the first game.

The last few seconds of the trailer tease one of the major features coming in the 1.0 update: Gear.

What is it? How does it work? How do you get it? We’ll get into that soon. But here’s what you should know now: Gear is not just a minor tweak. It’s a brand-new system that will shake up the meta layer. And that’s just one piece of what’s coming.

We’ll go deeper on Gear in its own post soon.

There is a lot more to reveal. Over the next few months, we’ll dig into the rest of what 1.0 brings. New features, new systems, and a few surprises. It’s the biggest update we’ve ever made. By the time it lands, what you’re playing now will feel like… Early Access.

More soon.

Can someone sell me on the game?

The only autoshoter i played is vampire survivor and even if it was fun i got bored pretty quickly but i like drg so i want to give this one a chance, in what aspects is this better than VS?

I doubt it is the amount of content, the simple graphic of that game probably make super easy to make assets and shit in no time.

It's the best VS-like while also being extremely different.

The gameplay itself is simple but top notch. You move while the character auto-shoots bugs. You mine, collect, and get out of dodge. Rinse repeat. Sound design is candy for the ears. You can tell this is made by legitimately talents devs and not some guy working on the computer in his bedroom.

It has meta-challenges that provide motivation to keep you playing, however those alone aren't compelling enough over the long-term. Sounds like they plan on addressing the lackluster meta with the gear update.

If this ain't hype I don't know what is.

The game is 10 bucks bro. That's a cup of coffee. Just get it.

Gentlemen, we can rebuild it. We have the capability to make the world's first enhanced store. Steam will be that store. Better than it was before.

I've played tons of auto shooters / bullet heaven games, and this one is one of my favorites. While the stages themselves in Vampire Survivors are massive / sprawling / unending, the stages in this game are small - so you always find yourself fighting enemies in tight quarters. The stages are also covered in rocks you can mine for gold and goodies, and that's how you get currency to buy upgrades, as enemies only drop EXP. There are also special currencies you can mine to obtain permanent upgrades for future runs.

So in addition to worrying about fighting off hoards of enemies, you also have to worry about mining enough materials to get extra upgrades. The level-up system is good and usually by the end of a run you're wrecking house.

Also as Kacho Kacho mentioned, it's cheap!

i'm probably gonna wait until the 1.0 version to buy it, the more content and progression the better when the gameplay is so simple.
