I suppose people should keep their mouths shut if they spot safety issues at our nuclear power plants too, right? I guess its alright to use campaign funds to fund illegal search and seizures at the bequest of a president? I'm usually pretty forgiving in terms of the crap that people spout off here but that comment is truly stupid and it really shows your age.

let me clear this up for your ignorant little mind. Felt has only been a SUSPECT for a number of years. Only TODAY did the story break where he admitted to being Deep Throat.

Past speculatioin /= current admittance.

Yes it is interesting that he was overlooked for the director position of the FBI. The question is whether or not he would have revealed this if he was appointed the position, and from what was said im not so sure he wouldve.

Are you serious? This is where we get anonymous sources. Let alone speculation of who exactly this "Deep Throat" was. His help was influencial in having Nixon resign, as in w/o his (DT) help the likelihood of The Post obtaining information about the Nixon Administration would have been bust.

In addition the Watergate Scandal. A major pivotal moment in governance history. That's what the big deal is...

I'm not questioning the actual event being a major event in history. I don't really think it matters WHO the person is, but rather the event occured. Deepthroat could have been Mickey Mouse for all I care.
