The Vita port contains the entire "trilogy" on one cart and was never going to be started before the PC release. MLA taking so long is delaying everything, there's no particular reason to single out the Vita. They ended up retranslating a long ass game, it's taking a while.
Is most of the hurdle just translation then?
Yeah they're apparently redoing the whole thing, and MLA's script is gargantuan. There's only a couple of people working on it, but this is a good thing as a few high quality TLers/editors will usually deliver a better product than a larger team. Better that the game be delayed than have a NISA or Persona 5 level of quality in the final product.

Can anyone give me a (spoiler enclosed) rundown of what exactly was changed between the all ages version we're getting and the original since it sounds like there might never be a "patch" for it at this point?
Really curious how PS3 handled "that" scene and also exactly how much gore and stuff was removed/covered (I already read at least one scene had them add in a hand blocking a lot of it which is kind of eh)

The first game has an 18+ patch afaik so I don't see why this one wouldn't get one.

They've said that it won't because the changes are too minor. And they're right. They restored all the blood and gore, the only thing missing is the quick flashback to sex scenes from Unlimited and that one

Edit: Apparently they're now saying there will be a patch, but it's not the priority for now. Vita is next.
Again can you explain what exactly they changed for the later scene in the ps3 version cause I really have no idea how they'd rewrite it unless they just chopped bits and pieces out of it

They edited the CGs to be less explicit. There's not really anything important going on there that would make it difficult. The whole scene is bad tbh.

Maaaaaaaaybe with cfw but even then that's an astronomically tiny maybe when you can just get the uncensored patch on PC and Vita hackers wouldn't want to waste their time with it.
when's the last time non-PCs got tiddies and sex scenes in their VNs
Ugh, I wish I knew about the Kickstarter before, so I could back it for Vita. Oh well. Comes what may.

Steam Versions are out.
You need to remember that the PC versions were the original intention of the Kickstarter and the other versions were the stretch goal. Now that the Steam version is out, Muv Luv Team can put all their focus on the Vita version.

Does it? I know physicals are shipping out simultaneously but I'm not sure that was specified for digital.
I mean, Alternative is the last chapter. Where is Extra and Unlimited?
