I know most people here aren't really into multiplayer games but I'm still surprised to not see any discussion about this.

There are currently two modes, Warfare (Battlefield) and Extraction. Both are done really well and play quite differently. A single player campaign is coming in January 2025. They're calling this an Open Beta but it's more like Early Access and honestly might as well be a release candidate. It's F2P without being P2W.

There's currently NO controller support, which means NO aim-assist! I'm sure this will change in the near future but it's really nice for now.

Been having a lot of fun on the game. I seem to lose at least a couple of hours every time I launch it.

This and Marvel Rivals had the smoothest launches, it was pretty unexpected, lol.

Delta Force is the best Battlefield experience I've experienced in quite some time to be honest. It's not perfect, but it's a lot of fun, and there are frequent moments that feel like older BF throwbacks I missed so much. There was "drama" about their anti-cheat software not being able to be removed after uninstalling, but it can be.

I plan on playing this until something else comes along, which I hope is the next Battlefield. But we'll see. I just hate that Battlefield should be in a better place right now. The changes they made to 2042 made it better, but it should've never been that game in the first place, lol.

I played some and it’s alright but mostly felt like a chaotic mess. So many players in a small area (at least the maps I played) leads to getting killed from random directions no matter what you do.

But it’s free, so can’t complain much. I did like how you could tweak your weapon and attachments with all sorts of little settings.

Have they removed the kernel level anti cheat software that automatically installs on to your pc? Until that’s sorted I’m staying well clear.

Stopped playing after a few days. When I watch someone run full sprint in one direction, stop, turn to me when I'm out of their field of view, headshot me in a blink, and then move on like it was nothing, your kernal level anti-cheat ain't working.

Did they add controller support yet?

No. Best you can do is manually map a controller through your Steam settings.

Have played a bit on PC and it's not bad, maybe 7/10. Would probably enjoy it more if my PC handled it better and I had people to play with. Will check it out on console next year though as I'll have people to play with on there.

Downloaded it.
Installed it.
Launched it.
Got a message prompting me to create an account just to play their fucking game.
Deleted aaaaaand I'm off to something else.

I have high hopes for the new one. I don’t hate 2042 as much as most people do and I actually still play it alongside 1.

They sounds like they are going back to a BF3/4 style which is perfect IMO.
I want to, but I'm cautious as my last favorite BF games included DICE members that are no longer there. 2042 was an entirely different team, and it showed. I just hope they learned their lesson, and it's better than 2042 across the board and really does channel BF3/4 energy.
