It really is an interesting question in the poll (may it be interesting now that we're living in the first one's premise). It's so hard to say. I don't know much about Sly's personal beliefs or if he has been infected by the mind virus, but I don't get the impression that he has.

A cool concept could be that his character, in #currentday times, has become accustomed to the bland and sterile new way of life. For some reason, he has to go back into the 90s to stop Simon from doing something in the past. And when he gets there, he's constantly made fun of for everything that offends his newly reformed self.

Calling it now.
It will turn the twist around, instead of the main character going to the future it will be a main character going to the past (our present)

It will be a black woman. Bad guy will be a white man (also from the future).
50% of the jokes will be inverted versions of the ones in the original (you DON'T have the three seashells?) and the other 50% will be about her being used to an ultra woke future and having to deal with our crappy non.woke present

I would be so unhappy in that future.

Did Sly mean to post in this thread?

Sly is pretty based nowadays. No sign of mind virus.
He is even making comics!

Yeah...I dunno about that.

Though Stallone seemingly looks better in beard mode at this age. He should have went with it for that last Rambo. He'd have come off less haggard and potato faced.

I rewatched Demolition Man a couple of weeks ago.

Why we like it:

Making fun of action movies while being an over the top one itself. A campy movie with depth.

Stallone, Leary and Snipes are great. Schneider too.

The biggest reason - Sandra Bullock. Good character, so hot (only person in the movie with skin tight pants) how could you not love her?

Be well.

Demolition Man 2 is about Spartan becoming frozen until the wheel of time comes full circle and he ends up in our present. The villain should be a descendant of Phoenix and it should be played by Dennis Rodman. Actually make that so Dennis Rodman is the actual descendant of Phoenix.

I love the OG Demolition Man, such a great action movie, but I think the chances to fuck up a sequel are pretty high

The movie writes itself, the problem is it should be a comedy, a parody, instead it'll be treated completely serious.

What the hell. I google it and Rodman is actually older than Snipes. I guess my perception of the Bulls and its members are stuck in the 90's.

They need to Star Wars this one up and bring back Sly and Sandra but destroy their original characters and kill them off. We also need a new version of Snipes character but making him a whiney emo biatch that always gets easily beaten by the new Female Sly character.

Demolition Man was one of those films that looked like any other action film of the era and later became highly revalued.

I'm gonna wait twenty years before forming an opinion on the new one, just to be safe.
