Randy Macho Man Savage did in 16 bars what nobody or nothing else has been able to do in all of my 28 years. He touched me so deeply with this CD, that he has left his thumb print on my heart for eternity. His hypnotic vocals and the soothing melodies meshed together better than the two opposing sides of a Glad Sure Seal Zip Lock Bag. His lyrics nurtured my hungry ears similar to a mothers supple bosom providing sustenance for her eager baby. Whenever I close my eyes I can almost feel Macho Mans sharp raspy beard tickle my cheek as he softly croons into my ear. These songs reached out to me on so many different levels, that it almost seems Randy Savage recorded them personally for me.

Listening to this CD should be a prerequisite for any new and aspiring rap star. The Macho Man truly captures the art of how it should be done. Each and every bar, in fact each word for that matter, was like a brand new adventure just waiting to be explored. The anticipation of waiting for each verse to unfold was similar to the suspense I encountered as a young lad digging through a box of Captain Crunch Cereal to reveal which one of the Soggies toy figures was awaiting at the bottom.

Randy Macho Man Savage shows us so many different sides of his complex persona on this masterpiece. He lets out the true playa in him on tracks 8. "Macho Thang" and 12. "What's That All About" where he takes a second to spit it to the honeys. He shows us the warrior in him on the title track "Be A Man" where he verbally attacks his arch nemesis Hulk Hogan. On this track he shows absolutely no sign of remorse towards the Hulkster. He goes on to belt out such venomous verses as "Your at the end of your rope. I'm gonna kick you in the butt and wash your mouth out with soap". Not since the break up of B2K has a rap beef been so heated and revered. Finally on the closing track "Perfect Friend" Mr. Savage shows us his loyal side, in this tribute to lost friend Mr. Perfect. I was so overcome by my emotions because of this song that my tears flowed like a 40oz of malt liquor in a early Dr. Dre video.

If I could I would give this CD all the stars in the sky but alas Amazon.com only allows you to give a maximum of 5. The fact of matter is that there is only one true star here and that star is Randy Macho Man Savage. So grab this CD a 6 pack of Zima and a hand full of Slim Jims and prepare for a life changing experience.

Randy Macho Man Savage did in 16 bars what nobody or nothing else has been able to do in all of my 28 years.

Needless to say, when I first heard of the Macho man's album coming out at first, I thought it was a joke. However after listening to the album for the first time I realized what an inspiring piece of work this was, something that could be cherished by every human being...

Macho Man creates a masterpiece here, make no doubt about it. Using Hip-Hop music along with Rock 'n Roll the Macho Man not only tells us about the experiences of his life, the music it is played to makes the listener actually experience it. His is, the experience of a simple man trying to make the most of his life, all while dealing with a failed marriage, the bullying of a coworker, and trying to figure out what in this world gives him true happiness...

"Be a Man" allows you to gain a glimpse into the life of a former WWF heavyweight champion. In the song "Macho Thang" we understand that the Macho Man despite the pains of his life has found that being bitter will not solve his problems, nor make him happy. Macho Man eloquently communicates that partying and hanging with loose women is not only what life is about, its the only thing that can make one happy. In the song "Be a Man" the Macho Man exhibits his feelings of anger toward Hulk Hogan, an individual who has plagued and torchered the Macho Man throughout Macho's career and personal life. By conveying his rage, which is accented by the beats of DJ Kool, it should be clear to everyone that Hogan did what he did because he was jealous of Randy, and more importantly that Hogan is a coward and is still afraid of Randy to this day. One can only hope that Hogan gets what is coming to him. Finally in the song "What is that all about?" you'll see into the failed marriage of the Macho Man and his late wife. We experience his feelings of lost love, and understand that if not for Hulk Hogan's ego Macho and his wife might be happily married today...

All in all this is a must buy. Songs such as "Feel the Madness", "R U ready", and "Hit the Floor" will make you move to an exuberant beat, while songs like "what is that all about?" and "perfect friend" will make you think deeper about life and its hidden meanings. In a day where pop stars are either manic depressants, or lustful 20 year olds, its nice to hear someone as honest and heartfelt as the Macho Man. Macho pays tribute as well to the albums of old, such as the Beatles, by only placing approx. 50 minutes of music on his CD. A far cry from pop music today which seems centered on the idea of creating an album around one hit song, Macho Man delivers a piece of artwork that will be admired for generations to come...

Macho Man's album is nothing.

From the opening rockin' guitar chords, you know your ears are in for a musical treat. Yes my friends, the Hulkster is in the house and he's doing it right this time. I am going to be the first reviewer to do a songs by song review of this album, hoping to give you an inside perspective on the genius of the Hulkster:

1. Hulkster's in the House - the intro is magnificent, you can tell the Hulkster spent some time really reflecting on and writing the lyrics to this track. Take this bit of wisdom for instance, "When the going gets tough, the tough get rough, heeey hoooo c'mon, let's go!" Now I don't like to share this with a lot of people but I was on the brink. I didn't think life had much left for me and then one day I popped this disc in my stereo and it was so uplifting. Hulk, you saved my life. This song was also used in an episode of "Malcom in the Middle."

2. American Made - a little jingoistic diddy about how Hulk was "Born and Raised in the USA and a real American." The only thing that I would change would be to let Hulk sing on the track.

3. Hulk's Back - the Hulkster does hip-hop and raps. 2Pac, Biggie, NAS, Jay-Z have nothing on the Hulkster. Gotta love the woman who sings with him, now I know where Jay-Z got his idea to have Beyonce on "Bonnie and Clyde '03". Best line is performed by the woman who steals the show as she croons towards Hulk, "Wah nah nah?" I'm sorry the song only clocks in at 2:20.

4. Wrestling Boot Traveling Band - a heartfelt ballad sung by Jimmy Hart (can you guys say the next Jimmy Buffett?). I heard that Hart, Hulkster, and Mean Gene Okerlund wrote this one on a roadtrip to one of their many sold out gigs on Wrestling Boot Traveling Bandpalooza '94.

5. Bad to the Bone - with the opening motorcycle noises, you know who's bad. Is it Meatloaf, Motley Crue? No my friends, its the Hulkster! Wait, this has been 2 songs without the Hulkster singing, where'd he go?

6. I Wanna Be A Hulkamaniac - oh yeah, Hulk does techno! Best line of the song, "Always go swimming with a buddy, work real hard and always study."

7. Beach Patrol - another rap classic. He was, "Walking down the beach looking for some action." It digresses from there including a, "Whoop there it is" line. I'm not kidding.

8. Hulk's the One - words cannot describe how good this song is.

9. Hulkster in Heaven - this song is supposed to be about someone dying, and I think the Hulkster did a great job memorializing one of his young friends. It doesn't matter that most of this song is used to make the Hulkster look like a great guy, we know his heart was in the right place and that the Hulkster could never be about his ego.

10. Hulk Rules - oh yeah he does!

In closing, this album is a masterpiece unparalleled by any other. If you can find this anywhere, pay however much it takes to get your hands on this item. The genres of music Hulk mixes without much effort are amazing. Hogan is the man! I also hear rumors that the Wreslting Boot Band is planning a reunion tour sometime in later 2003/early 2004 so look out cause they could be coming to a town near you. I'll see you at the show!

I have often wondered what angels sound like when they sing. Thank God I don't have to die to find out. You too can find a little heaven on earth at your local record store, just look for William Hung's "Hung for the Holidays" CD now. Don't wait, buy it now.

I admit there were times when my curiosity about what the angels sounded like when they sang got the best of me. There were times when I thought about taking a razorblade to my wrists and finding out. Now all I have to do is put William Hung's CD in my stereo - and take my medication - to have yet another reason to stay alive. He inspires me both in his words and in his song. He is a Christmas present for the world!

There is no better way to honor the birth of our Lord and Savoir than playing "Hung for the Holidays." His rendition of "Little Drummer Boy" is transcendent!
