Deservingly dead series

At least once every couple months, we have threads about games that need sequels. But what about series that shouldn't be revived on current or next-gen platforms? Here's my list:
Bubsy
Zool
Croc
Mary-Kate & Ashley (or "mary-kateandashley")
Mr. Nutz
Gex
Bug!

Feel free to list your own, but don't list ones that already have been revived rather shittily, like Altered Beast.

Sony as a whole irks the shit out of me, but MLB 2006 can stay. I like that franchise

I think they've got great studios, but their sports lot really needs to get closed down.

After watching what's next for Gameday and Live - I really don't understand why people still buy this stuff when there is better offerings avaliable.
 
Gex? I really liked Gex 2. I would have hope the third installement would be good...it wasn't.
I still wish there will be a new GOOD Gex.

Anyway, as for my vote it goes on Army Men and also Legacy Of Kain.

Gex 2 and Gex 3 were way ahead of their time, at least from a technology standpoint. Had they been done on the Dreamcast, or something more powerful, I think they would've came out much better. I mean look at the wonders the DC hardware did for the first Soul Reaver (in comparison to its PSOne rendition). I'd love to see Gex come back on the next-gen systems.

Well, I buy MLB for the franchise mode. That mode is really entertaining to me
 
I can see where he's coming from with Ultima, Garriot can't touch it anymore and X was a bug ridden mess. EA whores UO but it won't last more than 2 more years.

It's not deservingly dead tho, but just better off dead now that Garriot can't have anything to do with it anymore.

? I thought 10 never saw the light of day? Cancelled twice if I remeber.
 
Ultima 10 was released? Last one I heard of was Ascension, which was 9?

But yeah, after 5, Ultima lost it imo.

Never played a King's Quest after 4, but 1-4 were fun.

So I kinda agree.

You can't be serious.... if you said after Ultima 7, sure (or even after 7.5), but are you telling me you thought Ultima 6 and Ultima 7 were bad games? They were some of the best, and remained completely true to the spirit of Ultima.

WTF? You are stating Ultima 7 worse than its predecessors? You are just plain ignorant dude, if you made a mistake than ignore this :P
 
Crash Bandicoot and Spyro the Dragon. They were decent platformers in their heyday, but now they're just embarrassing.
 
But they're not dead?

I loved the original Spyro. And Crash 1, 2 and 3. Finished them all.

Spyro on GBA sucks though.

I finished all those games too. And I loved Crash Team Racing, too. But those are all PS1 games, distant memories. There hasn't been a decent game from either series on any current-gen system.

Anybody who wishes ill will on King's Quest or Ultima needs to find another hobby.

And as for Contra and Castlevania...neither series is dead to begin with. This isn't yet another thread to brag about series you hate that other people like. >:P
