Hail to the KING baby
What is everyone using?

I used to use WindowBlinds, even paid for it but it's expired now and I don't feel like stealing it or paying for it again, as nice and simple and relatively resource-light it was.

AstonShell I've tinkered with a few times, but it's a little too unwieldy for me, I want something that will make my start bar, scroll bars, etc. look nice, and I'm getting a bit sick of the XP Theme.

Recommendations?

This is my current wallpaper btw.

Are there any shells that let you doublesize or freely size the taskbar? That's my number one complaint with shells. i'm not old, i just don't want some pixel interface that looks good at 800x600 or less.

Hmmm... okay Tre I installed it, looks quite perfect almost exactly what I was looking for... but when I installed it said a bunch of Hotkeys conflicted, and when I open up a program it reverts to the old Windows theme (Start Bar, e.g.). Any ideas?

Heh, nice. I've pretty much got all this shit figured out, I just can't seem to figure out how to make it so that my program windows don't intrude upon the GeoBars at the bottom (e.g. make Windows believe there's a Start Bar there...

Holy shit this fucking program rocks. It took me a while to get acclimated, but hotkeys, customizable bars.... *drool* I could spend all day playing with this thing.

I just this morning got Aston running on my machine, it looks very swank. What theme are you using? I like the way your screen is laid out a lot better than what I got by default. Is there a web page I can d/l it from?

To those using desktop items like Rainlendar and various system stat monitors, how often do you actually use your desktop to monitor things, and how do you prevent windows from covering that stuff? i hardly use my desktop for anything. Autohiding taskbar with frequently-used apps and autohiding Winamp (main window on the bottom, playlist on the right) take care of my needs. i even got rid of Object Dock once i realized that the only thing i use it for was weather, and i've got a rather useful weather plugin for Firefox.

been using astonshell since a GAF recommendation.

nothing particularly fancy, just the shit i need in easy to get to places.

i can't imagine going back to regular XP
