I'm not sure but I've been taking other screenshots from other games and never had any issue. Unless they changed in less than 5 days, I didn't changed a thing. Either way, will just start to press "Triangle" from now. Such a shame, I took so many nice ones. :/

I clicked "Share" on the menu (the PS4 menu) and they saved without the need of pressing Triangle so I'm going to try again tomorrow, hope it's not a strange bug on my end.

WOW. This game is f***** beautiful - its massive and gorgeous.

I also really like the controls but i suck at the multiplayer - never played a mp-shooter on console before.

After one hour: I'm impressed. :)

just remembered two more things i loved. when i was doing the first mission with the witch i loved how the music changed when confronted by the hive or whatever they are called. it was a badass tune. also i loved the difference between the ai of the fallen and the hive. hive was pure numbers and brute force. the fallen tried using tactics against me. i actually had trouble with the second fallen captain until i finally got a handle on the game's feel. i will eventually get to listing some negatives but right now i'm in the honeymoon phase. sorry i get easily hyped.
 
So is there any real point to being in the clan right now other than a tag? Cause I don't see anything in-game related to it.
 
I got my code and its downloading as I type,

Unfortunately im on an 8 hour night shift until 6am so another 5 hours to go and then ill proabbaly wanna be in bed.

Fuck my life.
 
Feels like Halo Reach with ADS and not as polished (WIP...I know) with a touch of Borderlands and Mass Effect. I love the art direction and UI design a lot though.

Heh. Been playing it probably longer than most people outside Bungie, and it doesn't feel anything like Reach to me.

If you only really take screenshots, you can click your Share button and hit Options, you can go into Share settings and set the control type to Easy. That'll set the system to immediately take a screenshot and save it when you click on the Share button with the added bonus of not taking you to the Share screen.



Also: has anyone had problems connecting to their servers? I keep getting this error code "marionberry" and tells me to visit their help site for more info. Which is great and all, except to visit their site, you need to have logged in once to authenticate your PSN with their servers. :(
 
Another glitch: Some people on my PSN friends list aren't on my Destiny friends list, and won't let me join from their PSN profile because we "aren't friends".
 
I have to say I'm impressed for an alpha, this is very much the direction I expected Bungie to take moving on from Reach. I liked Reach for reference.

Last MMO I played was Final Fantasy XIV and I'd say it feels like a typically MMO from the hour or so I spent with it.. You land, your given a quest, on the way to the check points you bump into mobs of different levels. You gain XP and have a skill tree to unlock to your fancy. I chose Warlock cause well that was most unique to me. What I enjoyed was its got the same approach to in world events to most modern MMO's. where you can hop in and out and you earn XP from how much you achieve on that mini instant.

The"Tower" was as you would expect the central hub to the overall world. Again it has the typical MMO things like shops and Skill Tree advancements. I love the fact you have your own ship, Also love the fact your in 3rd person in the Tower. I can see it becoming a place to hang out to show off your gear and shit.

Moving onto the game play it self, the best way for me look at it was trying the competitive multi-player. I have to be honest the comments about it being similar to COD as in first to shoot are reasonably accurate from what I experienced. What I will add mind was I'm not great so far. Something you will pick up straight away is the lack of auto-assist and it takes a bit getting use to. Personally I like it. Seems far more reduced then Reach and it adds to the learning curve.

Regarding the graphics, its nice but again its rough...didn't like the AA implementation(what was it doing ?) and I think its lacking some post effects and AO I think currently. For an Alpha its pretty, I expect the Beta to tighten the visuals up and the final game to look stunning.

Also OST going to be incredible. Just the few tracks we hear are fantastic. I really cant wait now. Its my most hyped game by a mile.
 
so after DMZing, Port Forwarding, Directly connecting through LAN, and resetting both the PS4 and Router, I'm still getting sub 1 mb/s, which means in 61 hours, I can play the beta, you know, after it ends... anyone else getting this issue? I never take this long to download from ps4...
 
Man, I've only been playing for about an hour or so, but this game blows me away. I went with the Voidwalker/Warlock class and am loving it. The environments, exploration, controls and sound is really great. I love the RPG mechanics of equipping diff. weapons/armor for defense and upgrading your powers.

Starting off in Old Russia I basically went the opposite way of the way-point. Ran into some low level enemies and dispatched them quickly. Started wondering further and came upon an underground area. Ran into some level 20 enemies and got my ass handed to me quickly lol. Lord willing, I'll be around when this game fully releases and I'm day one with this game.

I'm so glad I grabbed tomorrow off on a whim after I learned the alpha access is guaranteed once you apply. Loving it!
 
The atmosphere and the depth of each location is amazing. The details they have worked into each part of the game have really created an amazing experience.
 
in my opinion it could use some more polish. this alpha definitely has some jank in the animations and is a little rough around the edges graphically speaking. i figure this build is actually pretty old and we will see something even better when the beta rolls around in july. the final product should really be something special. you can see the borderlands influences and that is a wonderful thing. this game will sctrach my shoot loot itch until we get the borderlands proper on the newest systems.
 
So far the only bugs I've noticed is sometimes other players won't show and I have to log out and relog. The other is I had an issue where it wouldn't let me log out. Other than that, amazing.

It's not a "real" alpha. It's basically a vertical slice. They polished that part of the game (which is a very small part btw) to the point where it could be released to the public but I can garantee you that the rest of the game is nowhere near that level of polish.

I still really like the game but I am not digging the bosses at all. Borderlands suffered the same problem - they're all bullet sponges and each fight is just pouring clip after clip into them.
 
Got a code ( thanks SONY) and downloading as we speak, pretty hyped!

( from the UK and it worked, so not having UK in that list earlier doesn't matter)
 
I'm really enjoying this. One part I don't like, though, is how you can't exactly go everywhere that you can see. I tried to slide down this tiny hill near all the rusted cars and it killed me.
 
I really liked what I played so far. Super major Mass Effect vibes from it down to the look. Wish the graphics were a bit better though. I just hate that not quite clean, jaggy look it has. Bungie definitely has a winner on their hands.
