Destiny |OT23| This Train is Bound for Mercury

I bet Oracles don't actually have a proper category and just fall under an "Other" field or something.

It's not surprising, if you have certain stuff that behaves a certain way, it's safer to re-use that underlying stuff than make a new class from scratch.

Much like how the Soccer Ball in Halo 3 and Reach and the Eyeball on Cold Storage and the Cameras on various multiplayer maps are actually Vehicles in the Halo engine.

does this look okay? i still need to know that Trials capture point.

The back part of the map is really bad if you are going to flank them alone, still it can reward aggresive playing if you have AOE grenades to disperse them

Sorry for the guys I was playing ToO with, had to leave out early. Some folks came over and I guess I'm hosting a get together for my grandma's birthday lol. I was playing like crap anyway, I'll wait until tomorrow probably to get back into it.

Fuck this game...been getting kicked out the entire day from the game, error code apple, quail the fuck ?

On top of that this fuckin map with it's everything that I hate about Bungie maps. Busy visual design, ramps, geometry and automatic doors.

I wanted to play today to feel a bit better after all the shit that I am going through and it just made me feel worse.

The amount of error codes I'm getting whenever I try to play ToO is ridiculous, whenever I do anything else it's fine, but the moment I want in on Trials? I get Noped out.

Rabbits and Quails are popping up all over this joint.

Looks good,

Would people understand what I meant if I called out Red Pit Door, vs Red Room Door, vs Red Heavy Door?

You can generally drop the door depending on how close they are. Maybe I could get more specific with the nomenclature but the door itself isn't as important of a callout as the broader location.

You can drop red unless it's close to the flag itself.

Pit Door
Water Door
Red Door

How would I denote which side then?

Like, if I just said Pit Door, that's two possible directions someone could be if I'm talking to a teammate that is standing at B.

Edit: Sorry, I'm not advising you change anything, I like your map/callouts. I'm just trying to make sure if I said the above, that people would know what I'm referring to.

Edit 2: This post I have quoted is no longer the post you have above. :p

If the player is in the Red Pit, callout Red Pit regardless of whether or not they're approaching the door.

The door callout refers to the space in between the doors at the top side of the map. Otherwise, we'd have to label the doors 1, 2 and 3 according to their location on the map.

Red 1 (Pit Door)
Red 2 (Altar Door)
Red 3 (Water Door)
Green 1 (Pit Door)
Green 2 (Altar Door)
Green 3 (Water Door)

These aren't necessarily bad callouts, but they are a bit advanced and somewhat extraneous.

And there's no need to apologize. I like having the dialog and I will update it as necessary.

Just got to Mercury for the first time thanks to Unstable and Wicked!

Got:

- Solar Jewel
- Robes of the exhile
- Thunderlord (4th)
- Doge helmet

Would have never have got there without their help as I spent most of the time dead if I'm being honest >.<

Am I unlucky or are LFG pick-up groups bad at clearing VoG HM?

Pre-The Dark Below there would have been an abundance of experienced LFG PUG groups for you to run VoG HM with, the problem is most of them have long since stopped running VoG or have stopped playing the game, meaning that you're just left with the inexperienced players who either never bothered to run VoG at the height of it's popularity, or who never got the chance to since they only started playing the game after Christmas.

Bad...shockingly bad.

And they all start off saying how easy it is, or how they beat it last week, or how its gonna go so smoothly once we get past _____ section. Or, Don't worry guys, I'm AMAZING at ____

And then literally every section is a disaster, with all kinds of 'WTF!' moments, or 'it wasn't like this before when I did it?!'

Bad. bad bad bad bad. You are not unlucky.

Excellent work Zoba! Before asshats in Reddit decide to worship or shit on it, some balanced feedback:

This is a fantastic tool, specially since the amount of doors makes this a complicated map. However, this many callouts is probably way beyond what most players will be able to reliably communicate and understand. It's a great way to study the layout, but perhaps you might consider a simplified version with larger areas?

I know the more detailed the better, but in this case something like spawns, main areas, heavy and perhaps 2-3 main landmarks where things will be happening would help.

Edit: just saw the bottom part of the graphic. It's perfect, disregard the above. It's got spawns, ABC calls, heavy and overtime.

I wish two xbox one gods would hold my hand through TOO. I don't suck but I won't be MVP. :(

Mhmm I was debating how I would post both the capture points and the callouts on one map. And then it made more sense to split them up, lol.

Thanks for the feedback. Hopefully I don't have to revise this a million times.

This describes me. It'll be Water - "A" from Water - "A" stairs - "B" - Outside Heavy. Broad general descriptions. But maybe someday I'll be on a different level and be able to use something more complex.
