Definitely less fun. I used to play almost every day and I didn't care about rewards. My Crucible marks were maxed almost the entire time HoW was out. I just liked playing. I don't anymore. I'm sure I can't be the only one who feels that way.

I'm with you. Pre-TTK my Destiny time was 99% PvP and 1% PvE, you needed to drag me kicking and screaming to do Nightfalls and Weekly Strikes with you, now it's 100% PvE and you would have to pay me to get me to go into the Crucible, even then I would probably turn your monetary offer down. The same thing happened to my mates, they were all hardcore PvPers who played sweaties all the time and took part in tournaments, now I rarely see them in Crucible, they've almost just stopped playing it altogether. Shit is just not fun anymore.
 
Late start to the night. Looking for HM Raid or Trials.

306 Defender with 310 Malice/308 Spindle/308 1kYS, plenty of NM experience. This would be my first HM run. Don't have to go all the way.

300 Sunbreakers with meta weapons (pulse, snipes). 1.3 K/D in 6s, .85 in Trials, but I really want to play more and improve. Not looking for Mercury or a carry.

Not all at once. I can only accept one invite. :p
 
Got gloves and boots, but the shitty bootleg versions with the eye stickers on them. All I want is the Exile chest piece for my warlock.

This game continues to be bullshit. Got nothing but two shards from both the normal and hard loot tables on warpreist. Are you serious Bungie?

I wonder if Bungie cares about how much bullshit the endgame currently is when they're clearly making a lot of money from the emotes.

I wish devs posted here and weren't afraid to talk about the current state of the game. That would be awesome.

I know things can't be fixed overnight, but radio silence does nothing for me. It just leaves me wondering if they're aware of what the current problems are or if they even think there are any problems. :(

Auto Rifles
Base Damage decreased by 2%
Reduced Precision Damage multiplier from 1.50 -> 1.25 (head shot bonus)
Stability decreased by 4% - 17% (driven by stat value)

Hand Cannons
In-air accuracy now increased

Scout Rifles
Base damage increased by 6%
Damage vs. alien combatants increased by 6% - 25% (based on tier)
Improved target acquisition, plus additional recoil tuning.

Shotguns
Decreased base damage at maximum range (falloff) by 20%
Shot Package Perk now has a slightly wider cone of fire
The Rangefinder and Shot Package perks are now mutually exclusive

Exotic Weapons
Vex Mythoclast
Base Damage decreased by 34%
Increased Precision Damage multiplier from 1.25 -> 1.50 (headshot bonus)

Pocket Infinity
Enhanced Battery Perk has now been replaced with the Speed Reload Perk

from that list, a slight buff to pulse rifles and back to autos and the game would have been perfect.

Thorn buff happened the following month and, well the rest is as they say.
So close. I'm glad I'm not alone in finding the current endgame and PvP the biggest step back so far.

Through all the ups and downs this is the first time the state of the game is just unappealing to spend time in for me.
 
What kind of loot do you get for completing Trials at the varying levels?
i am disapointed that there is no matchmaking and that i spend more time floating un orbit to be added to a fireteam.

lack of matchmaking is my biggest gripe regardless of the elitists arguments.

5 wins (not flawless) - Guaranteed armor drop for the week 300-310 Light

7 wins (not flawless) - Guaranteed weapon drop for the week 300-310 Light

general drops - couple emblems, mark, and ship

9 wins flawless - Emblem, adept weapon 310-320 light, possible 310+ exotic roll, possible armor roll????

Silver Tier package - possible exotic roll

Golden Tier package - possible exotic roll, one random trials gear roll 300-310 light



the problem is the weapons are kinda just more weapons without the elemental damage to make them stand out. And adept weapons seem useless now because of that because they're just a guaranteed specific perk on one slot when you can roll that on the not adept version and they're just the same gun otherwise????
 
I have never played ToO, why are people seeming so bummed about it?

ToO is a great mode, it's just that lots of people played it plenty back during HoW and enjoyed the PvP more back then. It's still great fun if you enjoy PvP and want to check it out. Just bear in mind it's a very competitive mode, but they smartly changed the rewards this time so you can complete all the bounties even if you don't win many matches.

There's a good joke somewhere with hammers, bannerfall, and trials but I can't put the pieces together. I'm terrible with jokes ):

Multilayer jokes are the best, oh well, don't want to force one and make it cringey.

Trials with matchmaking would be pretty decidedly awful though.

Those all seem pretty reasonable to me.

Yeah I guess you don't get elemental primary weapons any more, but at this point I think they're kind of overrated. Especially since Burns tend to appear less frequently as Nightfall modifiers, and now basically everyone can have a Zhalo.

You still get the same rolled perk on the last slot as the non-adept version, they just have Last Resort built in as a default bonus perk (similar to bonus Taken damage on raid weapons). Only other benefit is the Adept drop at HM KF light levels.

The last perk slot can roll as 4 different options on the Trials weapons, same as the raid ones.

On elemental primaries:

I don't think they're a big deal tbh. Definitely not the reason we used raid weapons in Y1. Fatebringer was our favorite CE primary, even at 300 when other stuff was 331. It was great for those Arc shields. Oh wait...

VoG with Vision of Confluence still feels tight. Those solar shields just melt. Oh wait...

Outside of NFs, this game has veeeeery few shielded enemies. And when confronting one, we use secondaries or heavies most of the time. Word of Crota or no, Minotaurs get the Shotgun, guaranteed. Captains fell to our Found Verdicts, not our Fangs most of the time.

Bungie thinks we held on so dearly to them and never swapped out because of the elements but not really. FB was the only HC with Firefly at launch (and stayed that way until TTK). Vision of Confluence was the only Scout with full auto until HoW (and even then, had a bigger mag than the stuff you could roll).

We didn't lust for them because of the element, it was the stat/perk roll. Elements on a primary make a super small difference in how the game plays (again, outside burn NFs).

But the point I'm trying to make is: it makes it all the more petty and strange that they were taken away. They were just a cool thing to have. They didn't alter the game too much. Made 0 difference in PvP, 0 difference in Raids, and some difference at times for a few enemies a few times across strikes and missions.

Current Raid gear with elements would still be, for the most part, low-tier stuff. But at least it would feel special. Would I trade my Hung Jury for the Raid scout if it had Solar damage? Lol no way. But at least I'd keep it in the Vault for a NF or something instead of giving it the insta-infuse.
