Back on destiny. After clocking it at first I traded it in, however since all the expansions dropped I figured it was worth buying again. I'm just not sure whether I should start from scratch or continue with my og character. What would people recommend? Also if anyone wants to run through the majority of the game again, add me on psn!

Upmoted and replied, just in-case you don;t see it. Try changing your MTU setting under network settings.
I believe default is 1500, try 1450 and 1473
I mean, I don't know why I expected differently, but Supremacy and Crucible in general is still complete dog shit.

Blue drops (non engrams) from the 320 strikes chosen right from Director menu are dropping at higher-than-normal levels (350+), so a lot of people are just doing those now if you're in hard grind mode. Sounds like it's something that might be patched, as it's better/as good as loot as the heroic versions of strikes, just a ton easier.
I think CoE and faction/vendor packages are also definite light boosts at this level.

Is there any way to get Vanilla Destiny digitally? It's ridiculous to still have to put the disc in when there's not 4 xpacs that are all digital and there's OG disc isn't worth the plastic it's made of.

Also, the perks on these gauntlets are amazing (and they look awesome):
Improved energy drain is nice, but the awesome part is all weapons are ready and reload faster, and you can have faster melee and increased grenade throw distance at the same time, which I don't think any other gauntlets can do.

Agree...them not being stackable makes absolutely no sense at all.

That's what I did. I'm surprised that it's still not available.
I've had a lot of fun with Supremacy so far. And in terms of "crucible in general is still complete dog shit", it sounds like it's just not your bag. 6v6 is great, especially with a fun fireteam. ToO/elim shows that it's not just a 6v6 focus.

Anyone looking for a more casual and slower play? I'm just getting back to the game after a year, only at 295 light, and just beat the first RoI story mission so far. Find it very boring to play alone, so if anyone wants to team up, let me know. I'm usually available around 8PM EST.
apparently the fastest way to do this is to kill Omnigul when she first appears, tether with a Hunter , then die to the adds

Holy shit, why can't Titans or Hunters get some OP exotics like that? I barley even use exotic armor anymore since I'm almost always giving up something to equip something with mediocre perks.

So i climbed the mountain at the Iron Temple with my Titan. I'm at the part where I got the cluster by the skeleton and fire pit. It looks like you can go higher, is there anything up there or am I as far up as it goes
For people confused about Boons in Archon's Forge:
Boons are the Iron Lord Axehammer relics that appear in AF.
You get these by shooting 3 SIVA "towers" that appear when you hear the Mine sound (high ptiched beep/horn) from POE/COE and see the text "Your worth will be tested..." on the bottom left. If you succeed in rapidly destroying 3 SIVA towers, you'll see "Impressive" appear in the bottom left.
The SIVA towers typically grow in the "back" of the arena near the reinforcement doors and there will always be 1 on the left or right dome spawn points. A good thing to keep in mind is that the relics will spawn in the opposite dome if you succeed in destroying the SIVA towers. As an example, if a SIVA tower spawns on the left dome, the relics will spawn on the right dome.
It always helps to have people in position so you can crush the towers as quickly as possible and have maximum up time on the relics. Also remember that R1 strikes on enemies restore rune ammunition, while the more powerful R2 slam does not.

I queued up for this strike after Hawkian went to bed, and got put in a fireteam with two players who invited me to their party and explained this since that's what they were doing in there. We were using Raze Lighters and each time I'd just Fist the adds and we'd uppercut the heck out of her, get the blues, then wipe and repeat. It's definitely faster leveling Light this way if you can consistently kill her each time.
After we left there and did the daily heroic story and public event, we parted ways and I walked into a big group of people doing Forge, who also invited me into their party so we could invite a couple more folks in there. We had a bunch in there and were able to consistently cycle offerings for a while, including some Perfected tier ones (two of which we defeated, and two we failed). The Shank one is probably the most deadly of all those Perfected offerings so be careful attempting that one without a grip of ~360 players. They need to figure out how to patch the Forge to more consistently put you in active instances and allow you to hold more than 1 offering at a time, because it really isn't worth doing unless you have enough people that you can chain a good amount of offerings.

Not sure if the test is triggered on time or enemies destroyed but it always seems to happen at about 40-50% of enemies destroyed for me.

I definitely agree on the archon's forge suggestions. Honestly, if they let us hold more than 1, even if they didn't stack, then that would be great. Load in to the forge with a couple of blues, greens, and purples, and just solo the blues and greens for possible drops until more people appear, then go for the perfected ones. I have had a ton of fun with the forge, but it's just such a buzzkill when you run out of offerings after everyone uses the one offering they can hold. Also, I find it a bit silly that the person who used the offering isn't guaranteed anything, most of the time I see legendaries drop for random people playing.

Apart from a 335 Queenbreaker's Bow, I didn't get anything special. My light level increased by just two points, so now I'm 348. Need to find a better special weapon; my highest one is just 340.
Anyway, I too am gonna take a short break. Afterwards I guess I'll run a few story missions for the record book, but I'd sure like to do a few more CoE runs with you.
Supposedly it is even easier with the Arc sword. You can just have the Hunter tether her, and everyone spams the sonic boom shit from the other end of the hall until she dies because it locks her down.
Fucking hell I wish I had a Raze Lighter.

I have a quest to do my Raze Lighter, up to the darkblade strike atm. Anyone want to help me finish it?
Oh it's still definitely one of the worst strikes if you're doing it normally. People farm it because you can kill the boss before the final room and she drops the same gear as she does at the end of the strike, but you can wipe and kill her again and again without having to run the rest of the strike or start the strike over.
