So my brother is on a morning adventure here in the Detroit area trying to find the exclusive Target Ghost vinyl life size figures. My brother was able to snag one this morning for the $11.99 retail price(great msrp!) but would not sell him an additional one for me(I was at home and didn't know he was even out early lol).
My brother is good with modding and thinks he'll be able to add led lighting to the ghost relatively easily which should be bad ass. I'll post picks when he's done!
From my understanding the Target Ghost vinyls are not being mass produced so you may want to secure one if you see one in the wild at Target as a friendly tip! And again, they should be $11.99. If the price is higher, ask for a store manager. They shouldn't be getting sold for more than that at Target.

I love Gaming side Destiny threads because it's always gonna get heated lol. The over reactions based on unconfirmed information, the people who cry that pre-order cancelled (probably didn't have it pre-ordered anyway). The sheer emotions coming from some posters...I love it!

I don't understand the hate behind this campaign thing. A deal-breaker? People are going to rush through it once and never return when done. Based on the reactions here, you'd think the rest of the game is all solo activity.

One of the things I actually like about the Destiny community is the relative lack of TOXIC attitudes and chat during gameplay.
I've met some genuinely awesome people whom I consider friends and would gladly share a beer with in real life.
Now playing the COD 2 private beta this morning.........that chat was toxic. I told the one guy after his continued nasty commentary...."hey !@#$, you know what the problem is?" and he said "what?" I said "you're continued spamming of toxic commentary during the gameplay....it's tiresome" expecting a toxic response he said "you know what, you're not wrong. I'm sorry!" It felt like the oceans parted and God sent beams of beautiful light down on our team for just that single moment! It was special.

I just look at it and say, ehh, whatever...as if true about the initial playthrough it doesn't bother me in the least as I had always planned to play it solo (I'll probably spend the first few days solo with the exception of public matchmaking for Strikes/Public Events) the first time anyways. It also may not be true and/or the matchmaking we saw in the "Homecoming" mission may play a bigger role in the game than a lot previously thought. I mean they put that in for a reason and I'd bet it's going to get used a good bit throughout the campaign which may be the very reason why the initial playthrough is structured to be played solo with public matchmaking/instancing thrown in at certain points when an encounter amps up.
Edit: And it turns out to be a whole lot about nothing.

Gaming side trashing on Destiny? I'm shocked, absolutely shocked. Though, it is generally amusing to read the overreactions of people.
It is amusing that people would cancel their pre-order over no co-op story missions. The same story missions that people will generally play seriously once, maybe twice, before blowing through it on other characters just to get it done.

Hmm. Debating whether to cancel my pre-order on Amazon in favor of the digital version on PSN. I lose the Prime discount for the convenience of being able to pre-load/update the game and jump in immediately after work. Anyone think it's worth it?

After putting two and two together I now realize what the guide was talking about, and basically had a new feature addition spoiled for me because of it this morning. So after the first set of intro missions you can play in a fireteam as much as you choose, like in D1. But after having beaten one you can go through Ikora to play a harder version of the mission intended for a fireteam, to get Tokens for gear she sells. Tokens are vendor-unique so this will be the only way to get this gear. Hard versions of Story missions in D1 were still just tuned for solo play with higher Light, and only the Daily Heroic Story ever offered anything of viable endgame benefit- even then nothing unique, just engrams/legendary marks.

You can get a digital copy on Amazon if you want. You may have to contact support if your code isn't emailed to you immediately. Should be able to pre-load no problem though.
I have heard this from a few people in the last two days or so, weird stuff... apparently the app does work though, for anyone having trouble.

I'm down to run a couple raids on Tuesday night after 10pm est. I think we have to do the original strikes on the map, not through the Vanguard selection. Also, rumor is that the trophy is borked due to the clan change over for D2, so....
We can also run a quick Crota, which should only take about 45 mins..
It's gone. Bungie said they want to tell the story in cutscenes and so give us more details about the world etc.
