developers express beefs with PSP hardware

are spiderman 2 and the new tony hawk essentially free-roaming? psp seems to pull those off pretty well.

Dunno about THUG2 Remix, but Spider-Man 2 PSP is level based like the 1st game.

I wish there was a website all the developers could go to, to complain about various game companies hardware. That website would rule.
There is one for each hardware - complete with a mailing list so you can bitch on it to your heart's content.
Though for some reason most people use it to ask questions of the devsupport instead, weirdos :P

Well, it's about time you moved your lazy asses and decided to pay attention to optimizing loading routines :P
The thing is that transfer speed of the UMD is lower - minimizing seeks and stuff is just common sense (well, to "some" developers anyway), but there's no going around the theoretical limit of the drive.

for some reason i thought the tony hawk underground games had big streaming areas. i don't know. i haven't played them. oh well.
