I am surprised it took them so long.
No. We need more of them. Sadly they are much better than many of the new games.Fuck off with remakes aleeady
Dino Crisis in the style of RE2R has so much potential, and because that franchise didn't go further than it did it wouldn't be a huge commitment. Either remake 1 and 2 and leave it, or if they do well then keep going because you've revived another IP.
Most new games suck ass though. At least with well made remakes you know you're getting something solid.Fuck off with remakes aleeady
DMC is a consistently great series. DMC 6 will very likely be good as they all have been with maybe the exception of DMC 2. They could have put all their money and time and effort into a new title instead. Most new games suck ass though. At least with well made remakes you know you're getting something solid.
Would love that.New Strider......
Took a remake for me to like RE4.
I hate that you're correct. We really can't have nice things can we.Lol.
Lmao, even.
It's not gonna happen and you know it. Do you think modern gamers can handle slightly different perspectives or control schemes?
It's gonna use the same standardized template they are employing for all their remakes. Making everything as generic and familiar as possible to satisfy the masses.
I'd like they make the castle much bigger and turn it into a metroidvania. With FIX CAMERAS, PLEASE. They add a lot to the horror claustrophobic atmosphere of DMC1, still unmatched.
Exactly. I don't understand complaining about a "remake" at that level. Resident Evil 2 Remake IS a new game. It's not really a remake, but a complete reimagining.Could be really cool if done like the RE2 remake in approach.
Looking at Capcom pedigree it's likely a remake/reimaging like RE2 because those have been so successful for the RE brand.Exactly. I don't understand complaining about a "remake" at that level. Resident Evil 2 Remake IS a new game. It's not really a remake, but a complete reimagining.
RE2 on PS1 is still great on its own and I still play it. RE2 Remake is also great, but it's closer to playing RE9 as Leon than it is the original RE2. The games are so different that they aren't even really the same genre, much less the same game.
Now, it is unknown if DMC will be a basic remaster where usually means minor graphical and QoL changes, a remake like Crash/Spyro/Demon's Souls where the changes are basically completely revamping the graphics or a full reimagining like RE2 and 3 is yet to be seen.
There's no version of a remake that will satisfy dmc3 fans. Thats why redoing the whole trilogy like the RE remakes from scratch is the best bet so both can be enjoyed as their own experiences.I'd much rather Capcom remake DMC3 than anything else from their catalogue. The incredible combat has so much replay value and the soundtrack when it's good adds so much to the experience. Nevan is one of the greatest weapons in the series. I'd love to see them pack it with even more.
I am not sure where they can go from the current state plot wise. It is also hard to make the current combat system even more sophisticated than in the new game. Not sure if DMC4 had a more complicated one than the 5th game though. My favorite Capcom franchise but I'd rather have a new game.
