Nice/surprised to see the positive reception in here, I was reading a lot of people say it was "not good", so I wasn't really sure what the overall consensus was/is. I'm guessing it's just divisive, but clearly it was successful enough to get another season.

I absolutely loved it, despite some deviations from the original lore. I actually like some of the new lore, especially the Rabbit.

I think the show captured the essence of what DMC is about, and that's a win in my book.

It depends on how super serious you take the show when going in. I gave a heads up that this is the equivalent of a DBZ animated movie, like Bojack, Android 13, Broly, etc.

It's not 100% canon but is over the top/campy and has fun moments and fun fight scenes.

A good example of this is the person posting the clip above and taking it way too seriously.

That sounds about right, I mean, it's DMC, I don't understand how or why anyone would take any of it super seriously, lol.

Honestly loved it.

The Asmongold character in there was hilarious and for some reason very redneck(I am too so it's okay I say this, but this rendition of "redneck" was intentionally insulting by the VA/writers and THAT made it more funny) and sounded so crazy. I saw a comment saying they mixed asmon with alex jones for this character.

Then turned out to be 100% correct about everything and the news media demons were just gaslighting humanity trying to convince them he was wrong. The show tried (I guess) to present it like a cry wolf scenario, ie when you say crazy things no one will believe you when real crazy things happen, but it just came off like Asmongold was right all along and we should listen to him.

Did you know a fake Asmongold is in this, lol? Never have I see a parody of asmongold on such a mainstream thing.

I like the fact it's cartoon and more combat oriented that matches our world understanding. By the way, I really liked Asmongold in the show.
