Diablo 2 Resurrected

I played a lot of D2 way back. So good. Local lan with buds frequently.

Thought about getting it for Switch and Switch 2 now as I saw sales come and go but ...probably would play it for a day to relive and not touch again.

Have you found the reason why it doesn't click or is something bothering you or missing?

For the original release, probably the runtime wearing on me. For Resurrected, I think it's a matter of it feeling a bit dated after how fluid D3 (yeah, I know that game has a ton of issues) moves.

I just can't get in to it. Love Diablo 3 but never played this back in the day. Got it on PS5 and just can't jam with it. Any tips would be welcomed.
Old school and/or been there, done are probably the causes.

I know a reason I don't play the new Diablo games is ...I feel like I played them already.

And I know some of today's gamers don't like some of the old school found in old games. Stuff that seems natural to anyone who played games back then.

Same here for the movement part. I put a couple dozen hours into Resurrected, finished normal with Barb (up to lvl55 I believe), played all other classes a fair bit... But then just stopped. For me it just feels too dated to keep playing... It's a shame since the game itself, it's atmosphere, progression etc is very satisfying. Only other downside since playing other arpg's over the years is the limited amount of skills and interactions.
