Before Wuhan virus hit I went to movie theaters at least one time a month. When I was a kid my mother used to take me out the school to watch movies every week (she mostly sleep)! That include many jean claude van damme, Jackie chan, mortal Kombat, volcano...mostly every movie out there at the time (90s). For my birthday present I would ask a family trip to the theaters lols.

But only three movies made me walk out. i know many would hate me;
1 - Evita (Antonio Banderas and Madonna), went with my father and mother. we all hate musicals. 20 minutes and out.
2- Star Wars ep1, being a fan when I was a kid of star war 2 and 3 the ep1 made me anti Star Wars. 1 hour and out.
3- Transformer. Don’t remember well, 40 minutes and out?

what about u guys, keep watching even if is bad or just walk out?

Dumb and Dumber 2 is probably one of the worst (big) sequels in history. And it's not coming from a hater, because I still love the first one and I like to rewatch it once every few years.

Hahaha...you mentioned a Transformers movie. Back in 2009 some friends Shanghai-ed me into watching Transformers 2 (knowing I hated the first one with all the mindless action scenes and how I hate glossy CGI robots). All I remember is the first 15-minutes was fighting and explosions and I walked out. You made it 40-minutes!?

Lasting year there was this movie called the Purge I Purging and it was part of a trilogy or something which I never knew about. It was extremely woke and miserable. I walked out on that after 30-minutes and realizing it would only get worse.

one time i went with someone to a movie and they suggested Mystic River. we left soon after the opening part. yeah i know people watch p3do shit all the time on CSI or whatever, but when you start a movie with it, im sorry, im out. not my idea of entertainment.

That movie was some stupid bullshit. People getting smashed in the teeth with shotguns and not having any injuries; getting chunks of meat the size of hamburgers shot out of them and being fine; walking miles with their hands clamped together around a completely slit throat like it ain't no thang...then getting chilly and dying from a cold.

We were the only people in the theater for that turd sandwich; instead of walking out we just made it our personal MST 3000.

I don't go to movies that often & I've never walked out of one. However, I would have walked out of the following movies had I not been with friends/family at the time:

Matrix Reloaded - Was hyped for this, but it was a massive disappointment. The movie just dragged on and on, I was ready to sneak out about half way through. I still haven't watched the third movie.

Transformers 2 - My brother-in-law really wanted to see this and I didn't hate the first film, but the 2nd movie was so bad. Definitely the worst film I've seen in a theater.

I remember the manager saying that they generally don't give refunds after watching the entire movie, but they made an exception for me... I guess I pleaded my case well. Or maybe he saw the movie too and agreed lol

The fact that they had the gall to remake Psycho was bad enough. Glad I did not see that in theaters. Pretty sure all the remakes of the classic movies were crap. Remember when they were remaking William Castle movies in the late-90's / early-2000's? House on Haunted Hill with an actor who resembles Vincent Price and Thirteen Ghosts was the other they remade around the same time. Hitchcock, Corman, and Castle films belong only when/where they were first made.

Speaking of LotR...my sister's were obsessed with the live-action versions. I saw Fellowship of the ring in theaters with them opening weekend. They wouldn't shut up about it and wanted to go back to watch it again the following weekend. I recall I was already not enjoying it the first time...It just dragged on too long and I couldn't attach to the characters (plus, I grew up with the books and animated movies). I walked out the second weekend and walked into "the Iron Giant." The latter was better.

One friend, who loves every movie, was snoring about half way in and then my other buddy and I looked at each other, tapped sleeping beauty on the shoulder and walked out. I think this happened around the time the Dear John letter was being read. Once I got past the awe of star studded cameos, I just found the movie boring. I should really go back and watch it at some point.

Also walked out on Menace to Society after the opening, but I was on a date with a Korean girl so...

Years and years ago, me and my buddies used to hit the local cinema on cheap Tuesday (£3.50 cinema tickets!) And watch whatever was on.

Once we ended up watching Save the Last Dance and about half way through we'd had enough. We tried to get a refund for the tickets. The manager asked us why we wanted a refund and we just said the film was crap. Amazingly the manager gave us a refund! We then went to spend our £3.50 on a McDonald's.

I went to the movies with a bunch of guys expecting to go see Snakes on a Plane. (I think) coincidentally ran into our female friends in the theaters who were going to see Step Up. For some reason all the other guys wanted to go with them, so we all went to step up. I ended up just walking around the mall halfway through.

Terrence Malick films are not for everyone. I find them boring as well, especially Tree of Life. However his two 70s movies still hold up very well. Badlands (1973) starring Martin Sheen and Days of Heaven (1978) starring Richard Gere are both great and are only 90 minutes long compared to the fuckin 3 hour long Thin Red Line. I recommend both.

I felt a strong desire to walk out of Mortal Kombat: Armageddon right after the New Line logo dropped, but luckily for me, the warm embrace of a nap set in about 10 minutes into the movie, and I woke up as the credits were rolling. I asked my poor friend how the movie was, and with a pained look on his face, he simply said, "Not good." My young nephew said something similar after I woke up at the end of The Amazing Spider-Man 2. Poor kid.

As for more recent flicks that I wanted to commit seppuku during: Aquaman, The Last Jedi, Harley Quinn, and Suicide Squad. Yeah, it's a bit DC heavy, but they often crap out such boring, CGI-vomitous trash.

Fantasia when I was really young. In fairness, my grandpa took us and the deal was that we'd go to Toys R Us afterward. But it was so damn boring to us and we wanted to get them toys.

I walked out of a dollar theater when my friend and I got tickets to watch What's the Worst That Can Happen. We needed to kill a couple hours and ended up just sitting in the parking lot instead of watching the rest of the horrible movie.
