In the psychological thriller directed by Lorcan Finnegan, a man returns to the idyllic beach of his childhood to surf with his son. But his desire to hit the waves is thwarted by a group of locals whose mantra is "don't live here, don't surf here." Humiliated and angry, the man is drawn into a conflict that keeps rising in concert with the punishing heat of the summer and pushes him to his breaking point.

This is how I imagine every interaction between Aussies and a typical American goes down.

This film had better end up with Cage holding a belt fed M-60, mowing down everyone on the beach :P

They are definitely going for a 70's vibe, hard to say if they can sustain it though. These types of "common man hits his breaking point" usually fall apart in the third act.

At first I thought it was going to be another one of these increasingly generic John Wick inspired action movies.
Glad to see it's apparently something a bit more interesting and unique, plus Nic Cage so I'm in.

After being very disappointed with Renfield, but very pleasantly surprised by Massive Talent, I guess I see where this falls on the Nic. Cage hate it or love it list.
