Yes that channel is wrong all the time. I have said this before, the channel owner just makes lots of mistakes that unfortunately a lot of people run with.

-Anisotropic filtering: PS5 > XSX > ... > XSS.
-RT reflections are identical on both consoles.
-Some RT reflections are missing for puddles on PS5. It is assumed that this is a bug since there is nothing about it in the game configuration files.
-The loading times : PS5 with 18s against XSX/XSS with 26s.
-The PS5 and XSX use exactly the same settings. RT resolution, geometry, shadows ... etc.
-The XSS uses lower settings such as lower shadow resolution, lower LOD with more noticeable pop-ins and lower anisotropic filtering, making textures blurred.
-The same applies to the RT LOD, with more distant buildings not appearing on reflections.
-For some reason the XSX uses a slightly lower AF than the PS5, this may be a bug.
-The resolution is basically the same between the XSX and PS5 versions with a few drops on the 1440P night sections.
-The XSS can go down to 900p which deteriorates the overall image quality, sometimes the same problem occurs on the XSX/PS5 even though it is lower.
-Locked at 30fps on all consoles.
-He discovered a 60fps Mode on the configurations.
-Apart from that, the game seems identical on PS5 and XSX at least.

Quick Resume makes that a moot point.
The whole purpose, and summary, of the article/video was demonstrating parity.

PS5 looks lower res here, look at the print and the window in the back.
The PS5's 22% uplift in pixel fillrate over SX likely makes up for the lack of 2 TF.
That's a smart GPU design, IMO. Do more with less.
4k@60FPS is about 480Mpixels/second while the fill rate of the PS5 is 142.72 Gpixels/second vs Series X 116.8 Gpixels/second; Both are way above the necessary in this aspect. So I dont believe this to be the cause of the identical performance between the two GPUs.

The Series S version looks pretty rough in general. I think it would've been a better decision if they would've disabled raytracing and used the resources for a higher resolution, better AF and asset quality.

the Watch Dogs games were all terribly optimised for anything above 30fps.
at the time of release, Watch Dogs 2 was almost impossible to run at a stable 60fps on PC for example.
you'd need a monster PC for the time and run with checkerboarding to lock it to 60fps.

So, aside from some graphical bugs, it's identical resolution and frame-rate again on both. I'll admit I expected PS5 to consistently have lower resolution than SX right off the bat. But this is really surprising.

I know this was already answered, but missing puddles in a reflection. A window was reflecting the scene and puddles were missing on PS5. Puddles do show reflections.
Its basically the same game. Such a boring face off.....I like it, lol.

Its not a draw though is it? XSX has lower AF, PS5 has missing reflections. PS5 has faster loading. So the first 2 issues will probably get fixed, but the faster loading is system exclusive.
The game looks pretty crap though, so its not a big deal. Both are similarly not great looking.

texture filtering has no impact on performance on any modern GPU. play any game on any PC card and toggle through the different texture filter settings. you will not see a performance impact in 99.9% of cases

Most people playing this game on XSX will enjoy it via Quick Resume. But yes, the 8 second difference on the first load is surely enough to make this a gargantuan win for the PS5.

Yes, of course. You know that a few seconds faster could make a big difference in this game, man. Very smart appreciation from your side. BTW dualsense is not fully implemented in this game. Mostly it´s depending if you like more the stick in the top or in the bottom. Oh yes I forgot, if you have two games open at the same time probably it goes quite better in Xbox.

This is the most parity we have seen in a game and in this thread people claiming wins for one console over another. Sorry fellas, we are in the Watch Dogs ship together. We either all win or all lose depending how the game pans out.
I have this game and have gone through the tutorial.. ..Alex did not mention (unless I missed it) but there is some adaptive trigger support on PS5. It's not enough to call that a win either so....

All the faster loading on PS5 games is lost as you have to remove games from the ssd as its smaller the the XSX ssd.
