I'm stuck at the Uni all day, can you post impressions? I'll be forever grateful.
I won't be home until like 8:30PM EDT so it will take a while lol.

He's playing with a keyboard, ewwwww.
Yes! This is what I wanted from a rally game, I played Dirt 3 a few days ago and even with every assist off, it felt too arcade, and RBR is almost impossible to play with a gamepad.NEW DRIVING MODEL: The physical simulation for DIRT Rally has been completely rebuilt to adequately capture how it feels to race across changing surfaces, and loose surfaces collect under the wheels during lateral sliding, creating a completely new feel to sliding around corners.
I'll get streaming in a sec if people are interested, I have a DFGT set up.
I think is more alike GRID Autosport. A last tribute to a saga before the current gen jump.

Haha, I opened the link, saw him assigning controls and closed it!

I'd love for that to be true, but Codemasters really seems to be on the ropes these days. Pure speculation here, but this early access move seems like a way to keep development floating on what would have been DiRT 4.
The one thing that gives me hope is that it IS on the old engine. We know they were working on 4, and it's been long enough ago that it seems unlikely it wouldn't have targeted a new-gen engine. So maybe there is still a DiRT 4 in the future, but I'd wager its existence very much depends on the success of DiRT Rally.

It will be a nice add to my Dirt Library with many hours invested I hope!
No XBone controller? That's gotta be a mistake, right?
None of those games are installed, where have you been?!
I think this is Dirt 4 -- or rather, what became of it. The game has been in development for at least ~10 months and Codemasters teased Dirt 4 ~eight months ago.
Also, the best thing about the whole game is how there are no Codemasters fancy animated menus in sight, so you'll get an average of 10 minutes more out of any play session.
I think is not Dirt 4 but a way to fund Dirt 4 and get feedback for a better Dirt 4.

New Can't seem to find info about the graphics engine. Is it on the new engine they're using for their next F1 game? I played a little Dirt 3 Complete Edition last week and felt the graphics quite dated. Thanks!
To clarify, I'm not ruling out the possibility that a game with the title of "Dirt 4" will come later, just theorising that the Dirt 4 Codemasters teased has since transmogrified into Rally.
A new Dirt game, in production at the Southam office, is safe, but it may not release when planned. Sources told Eurogamer Codemasters planned to announce the new Dirt soon with a view to an Early Access-style release in the middle of February, but the company has yet to secure car licenses, so this is currently unlikely.
