Heh, I heard (from crackpots) that UFOs was seen from one angle, immediately followed by a cut of all videos, followed by excuses. Just thought I'd let you know, and I didn't even watch this, too boring.
The debris supposedly didn't hit Discovery, but instead possibly fell from it. More will be known by Sunday once all of the tapes are analyzed. Nevertheless, Discovery is supposed to be doing some tests of repair techniques on this go round so at least they have some materials to attempt repair if something is wrong.

NASA has created some great technology, but like most public works projects the public funding has been hi-jacked and gone mostly towards private profit. It's the same with the pharmaceutical subisidies; we (the taxpayers) cover the costs of uncertainty until there's revenue to be made and then don't see a dime of it.
