You are the once-trusted bodyguard of the Empress. Framed for her murder and driven by revenge, you must become an infamous assassin, known only by the disturbing mask that has become your calling card. As you navigate a world torn apart by plague and oppressed by a government armed with strange new technologies, the truth behind your betrayal is as murky as the waters surrounding the city. The choices you make will determine the fate of the world, but no matter what happens your old life is gone forever.

that sandbox steampunk assassination game by HL2, Deus Ex and Thief devs.

Yeah, isn't Harvey Smith directing this?

Pretty pumped for this. Can't wait to see it in action.

What's going to make this game look good isn't screen shots. It's going to be the gameplay, especially based on what magazines have described.

It reminds me of Half Life/Riddick/The Darkness. So fucking good. I'm basically almost sold, all I need now is to see the game in motion.

This will hold me over till Half-Life 3.

City 17 is one of the most distinct game environment in gaming, and this is made by the same guy.

I don't see any resemblance to HL2. It seems like people are holding on to that instead of letting the picture speak for themselves. The images make it look like old london.

Dude,

The Car in the first pic look like that Combine Armoured Vehicle.
The Walking mech is a cross between P-Body and a Strider
All environments look part of City 17

On top of that, the rendering style of the humans reminds me of Team Fortress 2/DotA 2 style toon shading which Valve is doing.

Art palette is also, straight out of City 17.

I thought this thread might be for infamous bullshots that looked way better than the final game did.

Looks interesting, but I played Modern Warfare 2 last week, so I'm clearly too fucking stupid to play this game. Oh well.

I guess it will depend a lot on how serious you can take the world. At the moment the characters have this "Brink" look which I'm not really a fan of.

I don't like any of the mechanical design. None of it seems functional, but instead made weird for the sake of being weird.

While people debate/complain about graphics I will be anticipating more gameplay details. Deus Ex-type games are supposed to be substance first, graphics last and we desperately need more of them.

And I was going to say Far Cry 3

Back on topic: This looks interesting. I'm getting a HL2/Bioshock Infinite vibe.

Mr. V. Stabby versus Timesplitting Nazi Pirates on Stilts in Half-Shock: The Saboteur - The Occasional Steampunk Chronicles.

Seems weird. Looking forward to the eventual gameplay demo.
