Disney GBA Video

Seems like the troopers at Majesco are on a mission to sell even more video to kids with Game Boys. This time it is based on Disney stuff. For all the furore over Nintendo releasing 15 year old games on the GBA, surely releasing low quality video at that price is a contender for a license to print money? How have these things done so far by the way?

Personally, I think they need to put Grimmy and Cities of Gold out.

Hmm I seen those Majesco ones, I also seen videos from this.
If Nintendo wants to push movies on GBA(DS) why do they not release a movie player, like the one shown, let the other companies release movies on flash cards.

That's just it... Nintendo doesn't want to push movies and music on GBA, and possibly DS. They're content letting other companies do it for them. There's a GBA MP3 player that's made by some company (Majesco) that's licensed by Nintendo.

I'm totally getting Kim Possible and Lilo and Stitch on GBA Video...and I actually seriously meant that statement.

Ron kicks ass, and I've got a soft spot for Lilo and Stitch even if the animated series kind of sucks.

Dang, I like those shows too, but wait for DVD season releases. Good god man, you'll be paying $20.00 for how many episodes? Two? Three?

I downloaded the software for that GBA movie player. The compression is pretty bad, not as bad a Majesco. I converted a vob right from a DVD, compression artifacts were close to divx , excpet in part with heavy CG. When there is heavy CG, there are black boxes everywhere. The sound is ok. The framerate...10fps. Also the software does not have support for 1GB Compact Flash carts, so the movies will get compressed even more. What I do not understand is why compress at all? If a movie fits on a 512MB card, why not just resize it?

btw, the vob I used was from T2. It was 500MB, end file was 42MB, best quality and stero sound.

For gimmickry's sake, I would do so...but will likely not, out of laziness and being cheap.
