Okay so basically I want to make some CD art for a demo of my music that I want to 'release.' I know a lot of you have bands and make your own music so have any of you done this before?

I'm mostly using photoshop with the help of a friend to get all the art done. We worked on the CD cover the last few afternoons and below are some various stages it went through.

Do you like them or maybe should we have done something different here or take off something there? I wanted to keep it fairly simple. We still need to work on something to go onto the actual CD face which will probably be the hardest thing to do. How do I go about doing this? Is there any specific kind of paper that would work good for this kind of stuff? Thanks for any help or comments.

You can always buy the glossy CD labels, but nowadays they have printable face CDs. As for Art, Photoshop is great, but I'd use InDesign and create/download templates. If you're just doing this for fun, some of those CD/DVD Stompers come with some decent software for you to place your artwork, but of course, it only works with their paper/labels
