Divinity: Original Sin Enhanced Edition - Before & After Changes

If a game overheats your computer, then your computer is at fault, not the game. (I feel like I've posted this about 50 times :P)

Sometimes in-game 3d menus run unlocked by default (300+ fps) and can cause higher than usual CPU load, more than Prime95.
Blizzard is famous for this.

Can you not use something like RTSS to limit it? Bloody PS4 games do this all the time, menus causing the cpu to peg at 100% and the fans go nuts.

I've received my PS4 copy this morning so I put like three of four hours into the game.

Can't really tell what has been improved in the Enhanced Edition since I barely touched the original version, but the game works shockingly well with a controller.
There doesn't seem to be any technical problems with the game as of yet, but the autosave is absolutely unreliable. You should manually save as much as possible since you can get destroyed really easily if you aren't prepared.

I know owners of the original will get the EE for free, I am assuming the that this WI replace the original version on steam then, or WI they be treated as separate games?

they are treated as separate games I believe. Owners of the original will have the Enhanced version listed in their games list along with the original. I don't think they have a dedicated game page for the enhanced edition yet though, so hopefully they put that up soon.

I believe G2A is like Ebay but for reselling keys as Steam gifts. I think they are cheap because the keys are being bought from different regions with lower prices and being resold in more expensive markets. The keys are sometimes revoked by Steam because they are stolen or something but if you pay an extra dollar for G2A shield, supposedly, they will replace your key if that happens (I think warranty lasts just 1 month though).

Sounds legit.

They will be separate games and will not replace D:OS that you already have. That way you can go back to the original and play that if you would want to.

Tomorrow the new version will show up in everyone's library who already owns D:OS.

Glad to hear the controller part.
Saving often is a habit you develop.
you'll need something to play while Halo5 updates
Ice Cold.

Right so they will the be separate in the steam store as well then? Will you still be able to buy the original and the EE?

Yeah, I am a bit lazy though, and don't like changing and storing discs.

Anyone doing an OT for this one?

My laptop died today and took it all the OT files with it (Thanks HP!), so I'll put another one together when I get off work in a bit.

I doubt they will continue to sell Vanilla.

Dragon Commander still comes with the Beta sub, I fully anticipate that the Vanilla edition will continue to be included with new EE purchases.

They'll probably do the same as Wasteland 2. You get a new game in your library, but the Steam page remains the same with the new name.

I'm really excited for the skill changes, vanilla felt like it relied on mage combos a bit too much.

And I just love how giddy Swen is in that video, Larian totally deserves the success they had with this game.

I will be starting it tomorrow. I had to put aside Wasteland 2 because of crashes and frame rate drops. I hope it's a solid release on the Xbox one.

Looking forward to reviews and impressions. I'm curious how good a job they do making such a PC-focused game work on consoles.
