I'm a solo indie dev working on DJ Life Simulator, a DJ simulation game focused on real mixing skills, crowd reaction and progression from bedroom gigs to big stages.

You can connect a real DJ Controller (DDJ 400, 800, RB, FLX4) to your PC and Mac and learn how to mix IN REAL LIFE hehe

When you suck as a DJ in real life, you need to simulate being a real one.

And of course its Pioneer controllers that are supported. Sucks, I have the Traktor Kontrol S4 MK3.

As a DJ/Producer myself at first this looks funny. But then thinking about it, it could help people beatmatch better, among other things they can do in terms of tricks.

The trouble the dev might run into is getting songs to license for this game a la Dance Dance Revolution (somewhat).

Curious to see how this develops.

I used to call myself a DJ before everyone else started doing it and I got into music production. Still would play gigs years after but it's been over a decade.

It's cool that you can connect an actual controller. I'd almost consider trying it if it had Traktor integration. My setup still consists of two Technics turntables because I prefer spinning records.

RZA is the most overrared Hip-Hop producer of all time. He stopped making good shit in 1996, 30 years ago, and people glaze him like he is the greatest.

DJ Premier, Pete Rock, Q- Tip, etc. and all the other great producers all went to on to make classics for 30 more years.

This Youtube video is a testament to that.

It's a unique sound in the early albums, but in all honesty I have never thought of RZA even once when thinking about best producers. I suppose once the kung fu flick sampling died off there wasn't much left.

I'm also not a fan of him on the mic, he's average at best and his only real use is to act as a warmup before the top guys come in.
