Having alot of fun with this game, i don't feel like i've played such a challenging game this whole gen. So much depth, cool weapons, the styles thing really makes you want to play and play to get those level 3 moves.

And just when i think it doesn't get any better they give you an electric guitar as a weapon!

Yeah the games relentlessly good natured cheese won me over even though it was putting me off initially. I think the tower bike scene really did it.

But hey I played the easier Japanese version.

One of the greatest games this gen for sure...And so far the one I enjoyed most this year. DMC3 is pure arcade action.

Try to unlock the Motion Capture/Storyboard videos at the end...THEY ARE GREAT !

If you have to fault DMC3 for anything it's the environment rehashing (and the camera in the Agni&Rudra fight arrrrggaahufmp), but everything else is too much fun to handle.

Wario64's comment is spot on. Those 2 games catapulted Capcom from one of my dissapointments of the generation to one of my favorites.

DMC3 if you don't mind the weird continue system
GoW for plain full violent action
NGB if you don't mind getting your ass kicked or wearing a pink thingy for Easy mode. :lol

Amazing how every DMC, God of War or Ninja Gaiden thread instantly brings comparisons to the others even when the original topic had nothing to do with the other 2.

Not a fan of God of War, but DMC3 and Black roXX!

DMC3 has a better combo system than Black, but Black has better graphics, more adventuring, and A.I focused fights.

Offense = DMC3 wins

Defense = Ninja Gaiden wins

I love 2D gaming, and that's what DMC3 is really, 2D twitch based gameplay in a 3D world. ROCK ON!

DMC3:Special Edition, I'd get that. It has ultimate fuckin pussy mode, and infinite continues, and what RE4 does with Ada in the PS2 version, DMC3 does with Vergil on the Special Edition version. And there is a mission mode/bloody palace challenge thingy with a theater mode.

It'll likely be the Greatest Hit version of DMC3, as it's still priced at 49.99.

...btw, I don't think God of War wins in any department, cept for graphics. I liked Ninja Gaiden's platforming/puzzles more (aside from the lousy camera sometimes)

God of War's puzzles felt like genre breakers, Ninja Gaiden's puzzles flowed well with the action.

DMC3 really doesn't have puzzles...just insane action and insane cutscenes.
