Guess I'm spoiled by EQ expansions and other mmorpgs. Those have always launched first day at least $10 under MSRP. Figured since I unfortunately have 3 wows on my christmas list to get for people the first day deals would been best. I dont see jack. This usual for blizzard products huh? BF deals are lacking as well so far.

No it's not usual for Blizzard products. TFT was $30 with action figures or shirts, msrp at $40. LoD had action figures, D2 had shirts. RoC had deals on collectors edition. Don't remember anything for SC, but I know there were deals on Brood War.
Also there have been numerous CE for $60 online sales iirc. There's also $5 all PC games at TRU, although that doesn't get you anywhere the GGC wouldn't.

If you're lucky, maybe Fry's will have a discount. Not saying it will happen though..

Why do they make you pay for the box? $15 a month is bad enough as it is.

Yeah I guess. I suppose they have enough of an existing fanbase with Warcraft that they can get away with it, but being in Canada, it's probably more like $20 a month plus $59 for the game, which is pretty excessive for newcomers. And isn't $15 a month a bit high even by MMO standards? Either way I'll wait for Shadowrun at that price.
