Do many of ye keep a series X AND a decent PC for game pass ?

I have a pretty decent gaming PC that I built over the pandemic. Nothing crazy, but a 10900k and 3080 still are miles ahead of the consoles.

Yet I absolutely LOVE the simplicity of the Series X. There are also a lot of older Xbox games that I can't play on PC, and I won't be arsed to hook up my Xbox One or earlier.

However, a few months back, my Series X broke. I haven't gotten it repaired, as it would cost north of $300, which is absurd to me. So I've been primarily using my PC on my TV lately, and that's definitely more cumbersome.

So I guess in short, I'd love to continue using my Series X, but it's broken. It's nice to just be able to download a game remotely and have it 100% ready to go as soon as my ass pancakes onto my couch. PC has never and will never be as seamless as a console, and that's something I value immensely.
 
I have both. For game pass though? Not really, don't use game pass too much except for the 1 or 2 games I play multiplayer on xbox nowadays. I like the xbox ecosystem/controller/ui/my library and MS rewards basically covers all my xbox expenses. I get games depending on where I want to play them at; couch or at my desk (which is why I like play anywhere a lot)
 
Not for Game Pass but I have a Series X and a 5600x/4070S pc.

I've gotten rid of my Xbox before and after a little bit I regretted it. I like the simplicity of console on a TV, and I love the BC. I used to move my PC back and forth between my desk and the TV.
 
I have all consoles and a PC. however I don't think that's necessarily the best way to go.

however, for some games it's nice to have a possible way to sidestep PC ports that are especially bad by having a console alternative.

also, backwards compatibility is nice... if you have a good enough PC you can emulate many of them at decent quality, but not everyone wants to mess around with Xenia

There are a few perks with having a console, plus the Series X makes a nice 4K BluRay player - something that is difficult to do on PC unless you have the right hardware.
 
The last new game I played on my Series X was Starfield. Since then it's only played BC games, I have a pretty solid library of 360/OG Xbox discs.

IMO Microsoft doesn't get enough credit for the fact that I can put my original Splinter Cell disc from 3 generations ago and not only does it work but resolution and frame rate get automatic bumps too
 
I have a gaming pc and every console.

It depends on use. I normally play on series X on my living room tv and just use the pc for specific games.
 
No - I competely replaced my Series X with a PC.

I am glad I did - Steam is just so much better at.. well everything

I currently do but I am considering selling g them and just going pc. I have a large collection of console games though so dunno right now.
 
I use my Series X for BC as I have a decent amount of BC compatible games from Xbox OG onward, both disk and digital.

That's about it.
 
I have both but I don't use Game Pass. I have more than enough to play on my Steam account and there's always a flood of new indies.

I keep my Series X because it's a great BC machine. That's it.
 
I sold my Series X. It's great hardware but I wanted a PS5 for it's exclusives at the time and didn't need to have both in addition to a PC.
 
I have a decent PC and XBSX for Xbox games. I no longer have Game Pass. I keep them both because the XBSX is in the bedroom and I already own it. Since MS/Xbox is going all in on PC, I doubt I will buy the next true Xbox console unless it offers something unique. I am interested in the ROG Xbox Ally but I am interested in getting a handheld PC anyway.
 
I do. im lazy af and ill use the X when i just want to push power on the controller and it turns everything on including the tv. the X is also quieter than my pc , i got unlucky on the gpu lottery and have coil whine.
 
I got a PC and both the Series X and S. I sub to gamepass because it's a good value. I use xcloud on my phone or steam deck sometimes if i'm not at home. I use my Series X for bc games, gamepass exclusives, AAA games, local multiplayer games, blu-rays, and it's easy enough for my wife to figure it out and use it. I use my pc for everything else and cheaper games.
 
No, mainly because my old computer I threw in the living room to act close enough to a console using Steam Big Picture Mode. It's a mini-ITX case, so it's around the size of a console.

Only thing that will change in future is I install Bazzite on it once Gamescope works with Nvidia drivers, so I can have it boot directly into the Steam Deck interface using all gamepad controls for any settings. Or Microsoft releases their game mode from the upcoming rog handheld to desktop Windows.
 
No. I have a PC, N64, Wii, PS2, Saturn, Steam Deck, N2DS and PS Vita. The PC is in the living room, since that's where I have my work desk, connected to a big ass OLED TV via 8 meters of HDMI. All the other stuff is in the loft connected to a CRT.

I don't see the point of a Series X, just like a PC but worse and in a closed ecosystem.

I also unsuscribed from GamePass after some dude working for a MS Stuido made some racist allegations and got a free pass.

No but I have an xbox one x for 360/xb1 games that still dont have crossplay or a pc port (like gears 3)

I briefly upgraded to a series x only because finding a ps5 was a bitch back in 2021, but i ended up having buyers remorse and returned it less than a week later. Modern Xbox games are strictly on my pc now.

My switch 2 and ps5 have modern games I cant play on pc, xbox does not.

I'll also use the Series X for Gamepass games that aren't available on PC - Stuff like EA's NHL games, etc...

I have both the S and X as well as PS5 in addition to my PC. I originally bought the S for an old plasma TV so I could use cross-saves and then later the X for my living room TV.

My PC trounces the consoles but I still use them a lot. 60hz on a plasma still looks mighty fine in motion.

Sold my series x, just couldn't warrant having it any more. Built a new 9800x3d pc and have ps5 pro and switch 2 in the living room. Game pass is good but I just never end up using my Xboxes. Same happened with my Xbox one x.
 
I have the Series X and a RTX 4090 PC. I only keep the X because I was so invested in it since the 360. So many games I bought it on it digitally so I keep it for that but I don't actually really use it anymore

I use them for different things. The Series X is when I wanna sit on the couch with a controller or for when I'm playing Xbox/Xbox 360 titles. PC is when I wanna use mouse/keyboard and is 90% a Battlefield/Stalker/ARMA machine.

I only get Game Pass periodically though for a month or two at a time.

I had sold my Series X relatively recently but actually bought another one (for basically the same price. I only lost like $15 if I remember correctly) because I just like having a dedicated box for those games on my TV.

Rock on my man. I'm only game in my gaming den so it doesn't make sense for me, but certainly use cases like that make perfect sense.
 
I use PC now. It's annoying on the TV, since I have to fiddle with keyboards and such to login.. what I would give for Bazzite to work with Nvidia so I can just boot into a console interface. (Also VRR, HDR support over HDMI.. I hear linux has some issues with that on HDMI2.1)

I don't really see a benefit to having the Series X at this point? all the same games are on PC. I'm tempted to jump into Switch 2 for exclusives. Even the Sony games come to PC within a year, so between PC and Switch 2 you're kinda set.

Yeah, I used to move my PC over to my tv but going back and forth was just annoying. I like it much better this way, but I get why people find it redundant.

This is part of why I keep my Series X. There are definitely ways to make it easier (I used to have my PC set to auto login and boot into BPM which helped) but there is no way at least currently to make it as seamless as a console even if it's getting closer all the time. I'm hopeful that the "version" of Windows they are using on the Xbox Ally will make it's way to everything because I would love to have a replacement for regular windows.
 
I have my Series X collecting dust mostly in the living room. My kids and myself are PC exclusive now, besides the 4 times a year my son boots up the Switch usually to play Pokemon.

I keep it for my wife, mostly. Bought it for the kids initially. Throw gamepass on it, let the kids go wild installing what they want. Neat when friends or cousins come over they could play Gangbeasts, Halo, Unraveled, Forza, etc. but nobody does it anymore. Wife gets motion sickness gaming, but she likes to play Zombies (CoD) or Forza until the motion sickness kicks in. We use Google TV for media so it no longer gets used for that either.
 
Despite the whole games going to PS5 now and 9200 MS employees let go, Xbox Series X became pretty bad for me. Yeah sure I love the controller and have bought like 10 of them. But just like Windows, Microsoft's products always eventually gives me errors and problems and freezes. Xbox is dead. Microsoft needs to get out of the video game console market.
