Do those comedians on TV get paid at all?

And by paid I mean, PAID like at least getting six figures a year.

You know, the comedians you see on VH1 shows and Comedy Central. Do they get paid serious money? Or are they earning average salaries, like between $100,000 and $50,000? How much do they earn for telling jokes on national TV? Because, sometimes it seems like they are having fun 24/7 and other times they make it seem as if they have to dig around the garbage to find their next meal. So, are these guys getting the $$$ or the ¢¢¢? Just a question that I've been bouncing around in my head for a while.

Peace.

I thought he was talking about those shows like "Best Week Ever" and "40 Worst Awesomely-Bad One Hit Wonders of the 90's".

Guess not.

I would think they just get expenses paid for being flown out, hotel accomodations, etc for the couple days they're there.

it aint much ill tell u, my friend did the nightly comedy club gig before giving up and getting hired to write for ellens new show......

he enjoys working the back scenes tho

Agreed. He it too good for those shows. He had the guts to make a joke about his dong getting hard for Medusa- that is movie caliber. Seriously though, he should get some better jobs.
