There's a sad looking latino gentleman I see around the 'hood pushing an ice cream cart but never making a sale when I'm out and about on my bike rides... I'd throw him a buck or two but I don't carry cash when I'm out exercising... the menu is all in Spanish... and it kind of undoes the whole bike ride in like 2 bites.

As many neighborhoods I lived in just once had an “ice cream man” last I remembered, getting ice cream like that feels special.
and this image is most representative of that experience?

we had mr whippy who would do blockies enticing us with his ice cream jingle. Like Pavlov's bitch mr whippy had me salivating every time his van came within ear shot.

This recently started happening on my street too and it's really annoying having the ice cream truck blast their music going slowly down the street

What a sweet question.

In the spring and summer, and even into chilly autumns, we get ice cream trucks on our street. Right now it is winter and there are no ice cream trucks because it is too cold. (Local businesses that sell ice cream do okay, though.)

Ya and I hate it. I'm in DC, and it's one of those ones that usually park in the National Mall that know what I'm talking about. They'll come into our neighborhood and blast that shitty music. Normally this wouldn't be an issue, but the dude will just camp in one spot for the longest time and I gotta hear it in my house.

I wish I'd get food trucks where I live. I dont since I live in a quiet suburban area. Food trucks are limited in general due to city laws, but the ones that are allowed seem skewed to certain downtown streets or maybe they park in a strip mall or shopping mall parking lot.

If I worked downtown, I'd be buying hotdogs, fries and ice cream off those street trucks all the time.

Yes, Mr Softee. I think they’re only in the Eastern US though, not 100% sure about that. And a couple others. Mr Softee must really be struggling though because they used to only be around in the summer, but if there’s one day where it’s like 65 in November you’ll hear them out and about.

I love how that sonic popsicle has been around since the 90's and pretty much never went away, no matter how good or bad he was that decade. Same with the tmnt. Things move slow in ice cream truck land.

The biggest compliment I've ever gotten was when we went to a Mexican restaurant a month ago that was recommended to us and my wife got the elote and said it was good but she likes mine better. I still think about that daily.
