Yes. OOooh yes. Top shelf quality buds only. Me and my girlfriend used to smoke occasionally, now we seem to smoke once a day. I find it an excellent to refresh myself & relax after working my ass off in a boring ass office all day. Although I have no problem taking a break for a few weeks to a month. Anyone who argues weed is addictive simply has no idea what they're talking about.

anything can be addictive to people with the right personality. It's not chemically addictive though, like cigarettes.

Cigs. Never in my life, most disgusting thing in the world.

Mary J. Tried it a couple times, didnt feel anything, prob wont do it

No. I used to but never cared for it. However, I think it should be legalized (the people in this thread do not deserve to go to jailed and some major tax dollars could be milked). Fight the man!*

*Man, in this case, meaning the fearmongering, pious Man, not the money-hoarding, tax-your-ass-off man.

Nope, it's just a bad idea to get started doing that.

Actually, to those who do smoke, a question - if you are younger (say, under 30 or something), why did you start? We've had so much propaganda against smoking and so many laws passed against it, etc. I understand our parents smoking, it was just the thing to do for so long, but why us? I'm just curious and don't mean to cause offence.

I turned it down at first, I read up on it a lot before even trying it, I never saw anything bad with it and never believed all the crazy fake propaganda about it. Then I tried it, first thing I said was "why the hell is this illegal"? and that's it. It's just a hobby and there's nothing wrong with it.

I'm trying this right now, no tabaco, just pure weed. But I really miss the nicotine, I was so used to the nicotine rush that I really have a hard time not using tabaco.
But I find that I smoke much less, since I'm not hooked on nicotine any more - which usually makes me want to smoke more and more, eventhough it doesn't have any additional effect.

I hope I'll get used to it soon.

NICOTINE IS THE REAL DEVIL!!!1

To be fair, I've been on the patch ever since I quit :( I probably would smoke without it. I go out and the only thing stopping me from having a cigarette is knowing I have a patch on.

Not in awhile, but occassionally. No reason to be uptight about weed, "I never will!" dudes; it's pretty harmless.
Yeah I don't get it either. I can understand being really uptight about cigarette smokers, but it just seems to me that anyone that's so passionate about not being a marijuana smoker are just repeating after-school special instructions.

I personally think the smell and taste is repulsive, and it's waaayyyy more trashy smoking that then cigars...Weed is pretty ****ing overrated.

you must have been smoking shit like solids (diesel fuel) or grass-weed (dry as **** with seeds in it)...I will never smoke those versions of "cannabis" again. you should only ever smoke crispy bud (no seeds, not damp, not dry as a bone, plenty of crystals) - it's smooth, tastes good like a plant, smells great, nice effects on you. if you have never smoked anything before then you can use an electronic vaporiser to avoid having to inhale any combustibles.

been smoking sweet sweet sensi on a daily basis for about a year.
something like 2-3 bong hits everyday, sometimes more, some days i dont smoke at all (maybe 1 day out of 4 months (: )

I started because I wanted to know what it's like.
I kept doing it because I don't get a hangover, unlike alcohol. And because sex can be much better.

Well, still, I've tried it a few times and every time it's been some dead skunk/fart smell that instantly turned me off. Plus, the actual shit made me nervous and twitchy, not at all relaxed. That's why I find the stuff pretty overrated. It not like it bothers me that people smoke it, but I just don't see any reason for me to do it. Cigars are more my style.

Supposedly many people don't have a good high the first time, or first few times. Although my most enjoyable high was actually my very first, oddly enough, even after spending a couple weeks in Amsterdam.

I quit smoking cigs for 2 months than started again, I smoke tha good sometimes too. It's for me like drinking alcohol very common no big deal about it.

I'm just curious how many people here smoke herbs... just from a survey viewpoint and if so how much do you smoke? It seems like not as many people smoke as its made out to be but that's what I'm trying to find out.

i do not. i have in the distant past, but i never really liked it.

I partake in the Mary J. from time to time...I smoked much more over the summer when I was still with my ex because thats pretty much all he and his roommates do....and because I had nothing better to do...but now that I have a full course load, I'm going to cut down. But even in the height of my use, it was only a couple of times a week....except at parties...I let myself get pretty f'ed up.

...I have about a half ounce right now if anyone in the Gainesville area wants to help me get rid of it ;)

yeah I smoke some haze every once in a good while, although its pretty much a crap shoot at this point in terms of enjoyment. Sometimes its just fantastic, and other times it gets pretty introspective and nerve wracking. Ever since my real life got more complex its been harder to enjoy the practice like I used to.

I stopped smoking a few years ago but i'm about to go bust some crop fields because it's cultivating season soon.

Marijuana seems to be safer for consumption, if you are with friends, not anywhere near driving or operating machinery, not walking around, etc (cause you might not be as aware of cars around you, for example). Less addictive and probably more fun :) Not for me, but I get it more.
I guess what I really don't get is cigarette smoking - physically addictive, tastes/smells bad (at least, to those around you), most likely will kill you in a painful way (even if it takes awhile), expensive.

You've never smoked before.

Not being aware of cars around you :lol hell, you can drive mostly fine on it, it's nothing like alcohol. It's why when you drink, it's called "wasted" as opposed to "high".

No. I'd rather slowly kill myself with junkfood and soda. At least it tastes good.

Soda sucks, hah. There goes your argument and I don't even have to bring up how smoking isn't going to kill you, unless it's tobacco.

You'd rather kill yourself with junkfood than smoke weed? Okay man.

Ive begun to smoke cigarettes, but Im just a social smoker, I only smoke a couple of cigarettes when Im out with friends.

What are you, stupid? I can understand some folks here who were stupid in the past as kids and got addicted to cigarettes. But to admit you are just starting to smoke knowing what we know now. Ugh.

****, it's only a plant, what's wrong with a plant?

I smoke weed every day in the morning before school and after school. And I don't smoke cigs. I don't want to waste my money on them, I'd rather spend it on weed. I still can't believe I've been able to not start smoking cigs since every single person I smoke with smokes cigs also. I think tobacco is gross, but I love marijuana.

I just tried salvia a week ago too. It trips you the **** out! You go into a different world, I was laughing the whole time.

The funny thing about both is that you have a choice to not do either and at least help slow down death.

Given the choice I'd rather junkfood myself to death, though.

Pot won't kill you, unlike fast food, soda, alcohol, tobacco, medicine, etc. Since I started smoking I've been in the best shape of my life. One could make the argument that marijuana is less harmful than caffeine (which does have a physical addiction that pot doesn't btw). The ignorance in this thread is alarming, but not surprising, giving into propaganda FTL.

And for those pulling the legal card, read up on why it's illegal and just because it's a law doesn't make it right. Certain groups of people couldn't vote before, which is just one example of how the legal system isn't perfect and as a CJ major (heh) I know it all too well.

QFT. My life has been the best it's ever been since I started smoking herb.

If tobacco, alcohol, and salvia are legal. There is no ****ing way marijuana should be illegal. The war on drugs is a waste of time and we're putting nonviolent people in jail.

Everyone should watch this: http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=-3653114296815352489&q=penn+and+teller
