I've been trying to link HUNK with a number of other Capcom characters and I think only one that actually fits is none other than Rolento! Before you call me a nut, think about... The excessive use of grenades! In Final Fight(arcade version), Rolento throws grenades like crazy. In Street Fighter, Rolento uses grenades like crazy. Resident Evil 4, look at what HUNK starts with in his inventory; grenades out the wazoo!
Not to mention, the only picture of HUNK without his mask clearly shows a face very much like Rolento's. Same hair, same ears, and I think I even see a scar.
I did look at Doctrine Dark as well because both him and Rolento have the necessary weapon's experience to survive in an RE game. Though according to sources, Doctrine Dark needs to use that breathing aparatus or he'll die without it.
