Do you think Nintendo will allow Sega systems on their virtual console?

Didn't NEC put out that horrid Tube Racer with Nintendo? Victor Soft is dead or Hudson absorbed most of their games. And Konami would be foolish to not pimp that Hudson catalogue.

As for Xbox Live Arcade vs Nintendo's Virtual Console, I only hope that the titles appear on both consoles.
NEC and Nintendo are pretty close, closer than Nintendo and SEGA I'd say (despite Naka's cheerleading). NEC's sale of Interchannel was for their software development division and software IPs only... NEC still holds all rights over the PC Engine hardware and brand.

Victor Interactive merged with Marvelous Interactive a year or so back. They're actually pretty big Nintendo supporters, with Bokujou Monogatari cementing itself on GameCube and a ton of DS titles in production.

Konami holds a large stake in Hudson, but Hudson still acts under it's own management. And they're pretty close to Nintendo anyway already.

btw sonic does not=segas entire lineup. sonic is the only successful sega property on nintendo consoles.
Sonic, Monkey Ball, PSO and Billy Hatcher have all put in impressive figures, much moreso than any of SEGA's Xbox efforts. At least GameCube support never sunk a SEGA division like Xbox has... RIP TJ&E Productions.

It's odd how most X-BOXers I know can't name half the Sega exclussives on their system, but most Nintendo fanboys can. Just off the top of my head there's: JSRF, Panzer Dragoon Orta, Sega GT, Outrun, TJ&E, Shenmue and House Of The Dead...not to mention all the Sega sports games and "multiplatform" releases like VF that didn't come to GCN...hell even so-called GCN "exclussives" like PSO, Sonic & Super Monkey Ball got ported to X-BOX! It's almost sickenning that MS get's so much (unappreciated) support, while the userbase of people who actually buy Sega games (on GCN) get bent over.

Thier is no Sega rally on the X-box. That going to be on PS2. You are probaly thinking of Sega GT 2002, and Sega Gt online. LOL at all the N-fans getting mad about the Sega support. It is the end of the generation, get over it. I liked Sega games, and I bought all the systems, I just got a Gamecube this Black friday, to play the Sega games I bought before i bought the system.

I actually think a virtual PC engine game could happen for Nintendo. Didn't sega allow downloading of some Sega Genesis games and even some pc engine games to the Dreamcast in Japan.

Yep, Dreamcast allowed download and playback for various Mark III, PC Engine and MegaDrive games in Japan. NEC being a Dreamcast component provider/manufacturer facilitated PCE's inclusion, I expect it'll be the same since they'll likely be manufacturing chips for Revolution.

NEC did wanna get back into games, but their dive back in didn't do so well...they should align with someone and go ahead and bring out games that alot of people never got to play when originally on the TurboGraffix. I always wanted to play alot of the Japanimation type games that came to it...like Cosmic Fantasy!

Alot of people don't know this, but pre-Super Famicom Nintendo actually considered making games for NEC instead of making their own next generation system to compete with Genisis.

The current Sega is very open to licensing its old games. They are the main supporter of Gametap. If Nintendo asked them (or even Microsoft for XBOX Arcade), I am sure Sega would let them use some classic games and maybe even help them create the emulator.

I think the problem may be in creating emulators for the system. It may come packed with an NES/N64/SNES emulator, but they'd need a Genesis one too, wouldn't they?

I mean, how does it work? I'd love to see it happen, but I'm not too sure it'd be all that possible really.
Sure, but it's not like that'd be an amazing task. Already on the GameCube we've seen Genesis and Game Gear emulators in use with things such as Sonic Mega Collection and Sonic Adventure DX.

like i said, developers would just port those sega games to play via those emulators. of course it'd be possible.
Selling a game for use on an emulator is free money. Porting a Genesis game to SNES in 2006 for use on an SNES emulator is silly.

On topic, Sega SHOULD do this with Nintendo, not with Microsoft.
If I were Sega, I'd want to do both. At least until seeing what sort of incentive MS would offer.

No. Microsoft funded and sponsored a lot of Sega's Xbox stuff--packed in Jet Set Radio, etc, published Shenmue, what have you. But it didn't pay off. They need to realize where their market is, where their fans have gone. In the long run, money deals don't keep your company afloat.

IMO, Sega needs to abandon Microsoft and split their resources between Nintendo and Sony where they're making money. Kiddie games: Nintendo. Other: Sony. Some games could go to both.

But their back catalog--at least, their 8- and 16-bit back catalog--would do them the most good on Revolution, exclusively. If it's just on Rev, it'll be a selling point, especially with Nintendo's catalog alongside. If it's available on both, it'll be an afterthought. Strange but true.
